One last thing on this topic.  Don't think Barry is hooking us up next year.  He no longer appears to be a friend of the banter.

Why not? What did you do, start your own banter? That seriously can't be all.
Yeah, he can't be mad at this shit-show
He's mad at me because last year I signed up for a semi private herf with the cigar.com folks and I stood them up.  We had a whole mess of BotL herfing, tailgating and the grill was going and I didn't wrap it up to join them.  Essentially, by signing up I took up a spot that a loyal ccom groupie could have gotten.

So, you were LATE and eventually DIDN'T show up, and he got upset? Color me obvious. Now, I realize I'm new to your banter community, but that was one of the first things I picked up without having even met you personally. Sheesh.
Someone getting Tony a watch for Christmas this year?
Better set it to PST if you expect it to help

Maybe have a low voltage shock alarm... like something you'd see in a dog collar.

I like that idea!  Shock him if he doesn't arrive within a certain radius of our GPS coordinates at the specified time!

Barry's a good dude, I just think the whole CI/CCOM relationship was such a big part of his cache' with us and Tony obviously stripped him of that, much like he strips the meat off a spare rib. Can't blame the guy for being a bit pissed

Thanks for the bulletin Dan Rather, we're going to get the old North of the border cold shoulder. It will actually be interesting to see how that whole situation plays out. What is he actually upset about? Does he really think we betrayed CI? Tony's fault!!
Don't hate on my uncle! Kind of, but not really.  My dad's cousin(female) married his son(Rodney)...felt bad for Dan at the wedding, it was just a photo-op session: "WHO WANTS A PICTURE WITH DAN RATHER!"
Dan lives right here in a penthouse condo in downtown Austin, used to live on the lake down the street from me but decided to move downtown about 2 years ago to be closer to the farther left crowd.  Also played golf where my son was an asst pro and he was a very good tipper and always pleasant and nice with all the employees there.

Did Dan Rather have a sign off line? Cause this story could'a used it.
Yes I believe it went something like GFY's.

Xikar EX Windproof Flame Cigar Lighter... anyone use one? Worth $40, or just keep using the freebies?

There's one on the mash.

On to cigars and off of relationships now please, get enough of that chit from the warden!

Anybody else own one of these, I have had one for several years and rather like the convenience at the house.  They stay sold out of them most of time and rarely include free shipping.

Monster Price: $39.98 w/ FREE Economy Shipping

This all stainless cast body table cutter has two straight cutters for 52 and 60 ring cigars along with two V-Cutters for 52 and 58 ring cigars. The blades are Surgical Stainless Steel. Dimensions are 6" wide x 4" high x 4" deep.

Single soft flame butane for lighting and a single or dual flame for touchups for me

I'd agree that is not a great reason, but some folks are funny that way. He is a nice guy, and I'd like to hear from him at some point... even if he IS Canadian.  ;)
