Retreats don't mean the same thing as when I was a kid. This retreat barely lasted two hours.
That's a quickie, not a retreat.  Retreats used to always be for the weekend.
Exactly how I remember it. Whatever. I'm glad I didn't have to spend the whole weekend there.

Time for me to head out for something to eat.
Home to have a cigar and watch some college basketball.
Enjoy. We blew past page 3 so you've earned it.

Yeah, at two hours that was barely a seminar much less a retreat.

Missed out on linguine and clams yesterday, got an invite up to John's for fried cauliflower and pasta.
That sounds yummy too. Did John cook that?
Yes sir.  He also makes an outstanding cauliflower and cheese "pancake"  (forget what they call it)
Interesting.   Has he met flip?

Time to get the pool ready, evening Mr. Bean.
True, but with current plans we'll be moved before then.  It will be someone else's chore this summer.

Not today. Smoked an EPC 2015 Limitada toro yesterday. I think that's what it's called.

Spent most of the afternoon playing lumberjack, cutting up pine and other branches that came down on Monday.
Now I'm really out.

good evening. got quite a bit accomplished for the lady, two phones going, getting people who offer help things to do. she had quite a few friends over, a little food brought over, etc., went to her brother's house for dinner and movie. she needs that connection, same guy and wife that wanted to beat me up 3 years ago.
I am emotionally exhausted.
going to fire up a Nat Sherman 1930 and relax.
