Thought I got all the states, but need to include SC, don't I?

Lighthouses survive at eight historic light stations in the state. Developers have restored two of the historic towers and also built several facsimile lighthouses. There is no statewide preservation group, and for the past two decades preservation efforts have been focused on the critically endangered Morris Island Light. Several other lighthouses need attention, including Georgetown, Hunting Island, and especially Cape Romain.

The Coast Guard continues to operate lights at only two of them, Georgetown and Sullivan's Island.

Sullivan's Island light is also quite possibly the strangest looking.
Lighthouse Inspection and Maintenance Manager.  Sounds like the perfect retirement job for SoonToBeSCDave.
Agreed, but does he do windows?

Just a couple more lighthouse facts:

There are 48 lighthouses in California.

Three lighthouses in Alabama.

21 in Connecticut.

14 in Louisiana.

NJ has 24.

24 also in Ohio.

The Halfmoon Reef lighthouse in Port Lavaca Texas was originally a screwpile lighthouse (elevated building sitting on piles) but has now been moved ashore.

Texas has 7 lighthouses.
I don't think Nevada, or Utah have many lighthouses.....
good morning boys.

There's an Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce?  Nothing quite like division to bring us together.  Sheesh.

I'm going to be scarce around here for about a week(I mean, I'm here more than Bad Dad, but nowhere as
much as Dean or Tex!), just got a call from my brother, that Mom passed away this morning.  Nadine Gabby & I went out
on Friday evening, and Gabby & I were there again on Saturday.  Nadine was going to drive out again today, and may still go.  so fact checking will be turned over to LTG for the duration.  I am going to finish out the day at work, save time off for wake and Funeral.

In fact Utah has two on Bear lake, Colorado has one on Dillon Lake, Arizona has 20 that are mostly smaller replicas of famous east coast lights, Montana has one, Kansas has one... There are currently no operational lighthouses in Nevada [Not counting the Lighthouse coffee shop in Sparks and Reno or the Lighthouse Lounge in Las Vegas.  There are three non operational private lighthouses on Lake Tahoe that are in the process of being restored.
