Use the Xikar 11 mm punch almost exclusively except for pointy seegars that is.  My grandfather used his trusty double bladed pocket knife.

Hey CB. I have a V cutter, etc. I sometimes will cut a fine V with a sharp knife.

This 8 works well on a larger RG where you suspect the cap or box press could effect how it draws YMMV
