It's Tuesday again! In between insults we'll occasionally discuss cigars.  Join in and perhaps learn something along the way. Warning: don't proceed if you have thin skin but don't be afraid to post either...  And welcome aboard!

I like to frequent my local shops and try singles of Cigars I have never had before. I recently picked out a recluse otg. When I get an hour to myself gonna burn it. I hate wasting or rushing Cigars thus is why I smoke a pipe. Always tastes the same after a relite.

Bought some of those JH 4-cigar samplers at the Biz with the Sunday deal combo for $21 each delivered.

Today is Tuesday, May 3, the 124th day of 2016. There are 242 days left in the year.

Today's Highlight in History:

On May 3, 1791, the Commonwealth of Poland-Lithuania adopted a constitution.

On this date:

In 1515, Pope Leo X promulgated the bull "Inter sollicitudines" allowing the Catholic Church to review and censor books.

In 1765, the first school of medicine in the American colonies, the Medical School of the College of Philadelphia (now the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania), was founded.

In 1802, Washington, D.C. was incorporated as a city.

In 1916, Irish nationalists Padraic Pearse, Thomas Clarke and Thomas MacDonagh were executed by a British firing squad; they were among 16 people put to death for their roles in the Easter Rising.

In 1933, Nellie T. Ross became the first female director of the U.S. Mint.

In 1945, during World War II, Allied forces recaptured Rangoon (Yangon) from the Japanese.

In 1952, the Kentucky Derby was televised nationally for the first time on CBS; the winner was Hill Gail.

In 1960, the Harvey Schmidt-Tom Jones musical "The Fantasticks" began a nearly 42-year run at New York's Sullivan Street Playhouse.

In 1975, America's oldest operational aircraft carrier, the USS Nimitz, was commissioned.

In 1979, Conservative Party leader Margaret Thatcher was chosen to become Britain's first female prime minister as the Tories ousted the incumbent Labor government in parliamentary elections.

In 1986, in NASA's first post-Challenger launch, an unmanned Delta rocket lost power in its main engine shortly after liftoff, forcing safety officers to destroy it by remote control.

In 1999, some 70 tornadoes roared across Oklahoma and Kansas, killing 46 people and injuring hundreds.

Ten years ago: A federal jury in Alexandria, Virginia, rejected the death penalty for al-Qaida conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui (zak-uh-REE'-uhs moo-SOW'-ee), deciding he should spend life in prison for his role in 9/11; as he was led from the courtroom, Moussaoui taunted, "America, you lost." Armavia Airlines Flight 967, an Armenian Airbus A-320, crashed off Russia's Black Sea coast, killing all 113 people on board. Earl Woods, father of golfer Tiger Woods, died in Cypress, California, at age 74.

Five years ago: The White House said that Osama bin Laden was unarmed when Navy SEALs burst into his room at his Pakistan compound and shot him to death, a change in the official account that raised questions about whether the U.S. ever planned to capture the terrorist leader alive. Chicago's Derrick Rose became at age 22 the NBA's youngest MVP. Francisco Liriano pitched the major leagues' first no-hitter of the season, throwing his first career complete game in the Minnesota Twins' 1-0 victory over the Chicago White Sox. Actor-director Jackie Cooper died in Santa Monica, California, at age 88.

One year ago: Two gunmen were shot and killed by a police officer in Garland, Texas, after they opened fire outside a purposely provocative contest for cartoon depictions of the Prophet Muhammad. Aboard the International Space Station, Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti fired up the first espresso machine in orbit, then posted a photo of herself on Twitter sipping from a cup designed for use in zero-gravity.

Thought for Today: "Each day, and the living of it, has to be a conscious creation in which discipline and order are relieved with some play and pure foolishness." - May Sarton, American poet (born this date in 1912, died in 1995).

And to satisfy Tony's sexual fantasies:

Joanna Gaines shares her top spring cleaning secret

We all know that Joanna Gaines can decorate a beautifully cozy home, but how does she maintain her pristine design with four children?

In a recent Magnolia blog post, she gave away her ultimate trick to keeping things simple and manageable: trash bags and a cold heart for unused items.

"I can't stress this enough — your whole family will feel the benefits of rooms and spaces that can breathe, so before you even start the cleaning, get five trash bags and start filling them with items your family has outgrown or no longer needs," Gaines wrote. "If you don't love it, toss it."

Whether you have a family or live alone, you know the struggle of keeping the clutter bug away from your heart. Some of us find a way to make everything useless somehow sentimental. Gaines keeps it strictly professional when she brings out the Spring Cleaning trash bags.

He travels more than Travellin Dave!

Good morning, boys.
Morning Tony
Hey fish, sorry I missed you last week. What do you say we get a herf going for sometime soon?
If you had been around over the last couple of weeks, you would have known that John has offered that we get together at his place some evening...grill out some meats and enjoy a smoke or two.  Not much different for you to get to than Somerville.  Lets look for a date in June.
I do remember that. It just felt like June was so far off. I guess not though.
Things shift for me in June, daughter gets done with dance early in the month, opening up Thursdays again. Just need to check the travel baseball schedule and the end of the Rec season
Looks like travel is Mondays/Wednesdays, so that's good
Nothing scheduled for June on Thursdays for Rec either, which ends June 10
Wednesdays tend to be bad for me. Otherwise, I'm pretty flexible.

On a separate note, what was your first cigar back from your Dr's appointment? If you posted it, I didn't see it.

good morning guys. been breaking in my mop and new vacume cleaner. why don't I hire this out? I'm sure you want to ask why I don't have the lady do it? well, she creates more of the mess than I do. she also has no organization skills so I'm better off keeping her in the bedroom.

had a guy gift me a Schizo maduro toro yesterday. that's next after I finish this EPC 2nd.
Morning MoppingDean.

Good morning, Deano. The Schizo is a decent mixed filler cigar. I'd be curious to hear what you think.

Howdy, Scott. Saw last week sometime you had NJDave smoking with a WnB on the side. Figured he'd had that one before. The re-release this spring from Terrapin is Maggie’s Peach Farmhouse Ale... served in a can. lol. Not my favorite, but not bad either. You should give one a try, even if it's only @ 5.5

It's excellent, had some at CF and over the weekend. Still can't find anything as good as VaS though

Did you ever find/try the peppermint version of the VaS?

Afternoon, Fellas... How's Tuesday treating you?
Afternoon Steve

Howdy, Scott. Saw last week sometime you had NJDave smoking with a WnB on the side. Figured he'd had that one before. The re-release this spring from Terrapin is Maggie’s Peach Farmhouse Ale... served in a can. lol. Not my favorite, but not bad either. You should give one a try, even if it's only @ 5.5

Here's a new Ballast Point I'm wanting to try...

http://beerstreetjournal.com/ballast-point-watermelon-dorado/
I almost tried that on several occassions due to the high ABV

Ya. Based from their IPA. The grapefruit is very nice. This should be good as well...  at least that's what I'm hoping.

Sweetwater Whiplash is another I'm looking forward to seeing on shelves again.
Never had that one
4 more days and I will be sipping some Sweetwater 420 & Georgia Brown, Terrapin Hopsecutioner and Holy City Pluff Mud along with a few other delights.

It's a solid IPA. Not as fruity as the Sculpin... more floral and a little more bitter, imo.

About 1400 miles each way and it is for sure a pain in the ass but flying is usually a pain in the brain!

Direct flights to/from Charleston this time though so hopefully be a bit better than Delta and Atlanta or U S Air and Charlotte.

Up next for me, sleepy time. I'm just finishing up a work call.

Afternoon CB, raz, Steve, Sly, and misc Daves.  Coffee and a Pudgy Monster.  Toro with the light gray label.  The Mummy, pretty sure.
Correct. Gray label is the mummy. Afternoon, Mark... So, what do think of it?

+10 on the Pluff Mud, TR.  My buddy's K of C in Charleston had it on tap ... it were delicious! Afternoon gents, just a drive by reading up on the banter ... when I should be doing something productive.
You say that like the Banter is not productive, sheesh Sly if not for the Banter I would have no production........

Afternoon Sly, that Pluff Mud is some good stuff.  Do you know what Pluff Mud is?
Sorry, TR. Finally checking back in.  I do know what Pluff Mud is.  Had it splained to me while I was drinking the draft ... it's the mud bottom among the tidal reeds along the Charleston River/Bay.

I should not have mentioned the game. Papelbon blows the save, loses a game we were winning 6-4.

It's SLY's fault.  Sheesh!
