Brrrrr! It's getting cold out there. Or maybe you just feel like you're getting the cold shoulder? Join in this discussion and perhaps learn something about cigars along the way. Warning: don't proceed if you have thin skin but don't be afraid to post either. If you can accept all that, light a cigar, pour some eggnog and welcome aboard!

Tony, you flipped just as I was posting.  Quick drive by to say hi before beddy bye.
Great to see Cam on.  And a belated Happy Birthday to your twins on their sixth.  You should repost the photo. Now I see why you work so hard and put up with so much.  I hope your kids now and when they're older (without putting a guilt trip on them), will realize how much you love them through what you do for them & the unselfish sacrifices you make.  God bless you, mah man. You're a good goombah.

That may not be the right term. So let's leave it as "you're a good man, Charlie's friend."

I think they've done it before. But then again I sometimes have a hard time remembering the simplest things ... like I have to get up early tomorrow so I need to get to sleep.  Lost a good buddy to an extremely fast & agressive form of cancer.  Still shocking. He was on his feet & working before Thanksgiving. He died on Tuesday at 54. Wake on Sunday pm, funeral on Monday.
You just don't know. We need to get ready & be ready at all times, appreciating every day & everyone.  Night all, God bless.

Sorry for your loss, Sly. Ready or not, it's never easy. As far as "goombah" goes, it's a fine word to use. It's derived from an Italian dialect for the word, "compare" which translates to godfather or good friend.

Ten years ago: A Chalk's Ocean Airways seaplane crashed off Miami Beach, Florida, killing all 18 passengers and both pilots. President George W. Bush forcefully defended a domestic spying program as an effective tool in disrupting terrorists and insisted it was not an abuse of Americans' civil liberties. A video posted online by an extremist group, the Islamic Army of Iraq, purportedly showed the killing of American contractor Ronald Allen Schulz. Afghanistan's first democratically elected parliament in more than three decades convened. Southern California running back Reggie Bush was named Associated Press Player of the Year. Mob boss Vincent "The Chin" Gigante died in federal prison in Springfield, Missouri, at age 77.

They do that BS every time and I think it is so the late arrivers will say "oh-no they had some great deals and I missed them".  They are seeming more slimy all the time.  Note they also have what looks like a good deal but it is a 4-pack not a 5-pack which is the norm.

As usual, we analyze the same way...Prices don't look stellar either, just comparing the box of MB3 robustos 20/116.14 compared to 10/49.99 + $20 cert at CI.
Not a big fan of V's or Oliva anyway.

I would have instantly bought a box of the Melanio Robustos and a box of the V Lanceros,  most of the stuff is not even that good of a deal.

They do that BS every time and I think it is so the late arrivers will say "oh-no they had some great deals and I missed them".  They are seeming more slimy all the time.  Note they also have what looks like a good deal but it is a 4-pack not a 5-pack which is the norm.
Write ups have also gone from "just the facts Ma'am" to the same silly bullshit as CI.

Couple of the CI deals with $20 gift card aren't too bad...Diesel corona, Xicar HC, MOW Immortal, although Oliva MB3 not so much.
Agreed, I have the Diesels in my cart waiting on a free shipping code.  $8 for 10 pretty good cigars ain't too bad!    Yeah, MB3's are no deal for sure.
Much better than CPage...I just remember them going for much less a couple of months ago.

Get a FS code and they are paying you to take the 5-Vegas but that might still be more than they are worth unless you just need to fill up a vacant humi and I sure don't have that need.

Howdy, TXDave. I put some Padilla Artemis in my cart from the 20 Gift Card section. My buddy was recently telling me how good they are. I'm a gambling man and Padilla is now being made in the Raices Cubanas factory. Let's see if I can find a good jam item to pair them with.

Morning, Uncle Tony.
Good looking out with that free ship code.
Only passing on for Ogie, since he's not around. Still trying to decide between the Diesel coronas or the Luchadors, myself.
Almost went with the Diesel coronas too but I really can't afford them right now.
CI would have you believe you can't NOT afford them, but that may just be corporate hype. ;)
Ya think?
At $7.50 for 10 diesels they are correct unless you don't smoke cigars
I was gonna take the $20 discount when I used the gift card. You can't subtract $20 on both ends. Sheesh.
I just figure in the $20 as taken when I buy now not when I buy later using it.

Simple Common Core Math, makes for a Cheapo bean deal.
That's fine. As long as you don't take it in both ends.

Mark? Anyone?
OK Tony, you don't have to beg.

Raz has been looking for a Brick House special but doubt he caught that midnight one.
I just had a Brick House yesterday with 14 months of humidor time on it without the wrapper.  It was pretty darn good.   I hope I still have some in my other humidor...?  Humidor #1 is for aged.  Humidor #2 is for right off the truck.

Couple of the CI deals with $20 gift card aren't too bad...Diesel corona, Xicar HC, MOW Immortal, although Oliva MB3 not so much.
I've been eye'ing up that Xicar HC, but I've never had it in the Criollo.  I've had it in the Maduro which I really liked, and I've had it in the Connecticut which I really hated.  The 8 Ball says, "Outlook Bad."

My wife was putting on a little weight, and I asked her about it.  She said, "I don't know what's happening, I'm starving myself and I keep gaining weight...?"  About a week later I hear in the middle of the night in the kitchen, so I was going to sneak in and give her the ol' a ah ah, "Caught ya..!"  But she was eating in her sleep.  She also made,  (I think it was), a Banana Cream Pie in her sleep in the middle of the night.  Along with a few other crazy things.  But she was on Ambien at the time.

It does if I make some thing big, such as the beef stew I made yesterday.  But we had left overs yesterday, so that didn't take any time and was easy.  Today I had left over lettuce, tomato, and onions from a salad, and I also have some tortillas.  So I check in the freezer and spotted some Tyson Honey Breast Tenders.  So the chicken strips went into the toaster over for 10 min., and I wrapped it all (lettuce, tomato, onions, chicken, hot sauce, and Marzetti Sweet Vidalia Onion salad dressing.  Sort of a weird chicken wrap.  Heated the left over cabbage, and I was done in about 20 min.  It actually turned out very good...

I had to take her outside and place a magazine over the auto headlight sensor, so she could see how it effects how the lights work.  Then explained that the sun is brighter when she gets off of work at 8am than it is at 7am.  Anyway, I think she got it.  Now she said the headlights come on when she turns on the turn signals.  Again, this was at (I'm guessing) 7:30 am., and we've had some very dark cloudy days.  I went out earlier during bright sunlight, and I tried the light and I can't find anything wrong with them.  I told her to just turn the damn light on and off manually...  But she said, "But I like the auto feature..!"  Good god, I need a drink just thinking about it...   :o

That happens if she takes her prescriptions in a certain combination.  She gets horny and crazy as hell.   The problem is, she never remembers what she took or what she does.  And I don't know the combination.

That would be nice, but  doubt it.  We don't really buy each other Christmas presents.  I guess that comes from not having much money years ago and making sure the kids got the presents.  She'll probably get me a box of cherry chocolates, a can of cashews, and a 1/5 of whiskey.

That would be nice, but  doubt it.  We don't really buy each other Christmas presents.  I guess that comes from not having much money years ago and making sure the kids got the presents.  She'll probably get me a box of cherry chocolates, a can of cashews, and a 1/5 of whiskey.
Well, kids are gone, time to reassess!
