Good morning guys.

(After the judge ruled Moore competent to change her plea, she was sentenced to life. Moore was released on parole on New Year's Eve 2007 after serving 32 years behind bars.)
-
In 1985, 248 American soldiers and eight crew members were killed when an Arrow Air charter crashed after takeoff from Gander, Newfoundland.
-

-
Ten years ago: California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger refused to block the imminent execution of Stanley Tookie Williams, rejecting the notion that the founder of the murderous Crips gang had atoned for his crimes and found redemption on death row. (Williams was put to death early the next day.) During an impromptu question-and-answer session before the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, President George W. Bush estimated 30,000 Iraqis had died in the war.
-
Five years ago: An explosives-packed minibus blew up at the entrance of a joint NATO-Afghan base in southern Afghanistan, killing six American troops and two Afghan soldiers as they prepared to head out on patrol. The inflatable roof of the Minneapolis Metrodome collapsed following a snowstorm that had dumped 17 inches on the city. (The NFL was forced to shift an already rescheduled game between the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants to Detroit's Ford Field.)
-
One year ago: President Barack Obama urged the Senate to ratify a $1.1 trillion spending bill opposed by some Democrats, judging it an imperfect measure that stemmed from "the divided government that the American people voted for." Who To Marry?
-------------------------
HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHO TO MARRY? (written by kids)
You got to find somebody who likes the same stuff. Like, if you like sports, she should like it that you like sports, and she should keep the chips and dip coming.
-- Alan, age 10
No person really decides before they grow up who they're going to marry. God decides it all way before, and you get to find out later who you're stuck with.
-- Kristen, age 10
WHAT IS THE RIGHT AGE TO GET MARRIED?
Twenty-three is the best age because you know the person FOREVER by then.
-- Camille, age 10
HOW CAN A STRANGER TELL IF TWO PEOPLE ARE MARRIED?
You might have to guess, based on whether they seem to be yelling at the same kids.
-- Derrick, age 8
WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR MOM AND DAD HAVE IN COMMON?
Both don't want any more kids.
-- Lori, age 8
WHAT DO MOST PEOPLE DO ON A DATE?
Dates are for having fun, and people should use them to get to know each other. Even boys have something to say if you listen long enough.
-- Lynnette, age 8 (isn't she a treasure)
On the first date, they just tell each other lies and that Usually gets them interested enough to go for a second date.
-- Martin, age 10
WHAT WOULD YOU DO ON A FIRST DATE THAT WAS TURNING SOUR?
I'd run home and play dead. The next day I would call all the newspapers and make sure they wrote about me in all the dead columns.
-- Craig, age 9
WHEN IS IT OKAY TO KISS SOMEONE?
When they're rich.
-- Pam, age 7
The law says you have to be eighteen, so I wouldn't want to mess with that.
- - Curt, age 7
The rule goes like this: If you kiss someone, then you should marry them and have kids with them. It's the right thing to do.
-- Howard, age 8
IS IT BETTER TO BE SINGLE OR MARRIED?
It's better for girls to be single but not for boys. Boys need someone to clean up after them.
-- Anita, age 9 (bless you child)
HOW WOULD THE WORLD BE DIFFERENT IF PEOPLE DIDN'T GET MARRIED?
There sure would be a lot of kids to explain, wouldn't there?
-- Kelvin, age 8
And the #1 Favorite is........
HOW WOULD YOU MAKE A MARRIAGE WORK?
Tell your wife that she looks pretty, even if she looks like a truck.
-- Ricky, age 10

Morning LSU, Happy Day Off!

Full Cold Moon arrives on Christmas Day, first since 1977
For the first time since 1977, the moon will reach it's full moon phase on Christmas Day. To provide a little perspective on that, if you're below 38 years of age, this will be the first time in your lifetime that the final full moon of the year has occurred on Christmas Day.
Like other moons throughout the year, such as the Harvest Moon or Hunter's Moon, the December full moon has it's own nicknames. Some of the common names associated with the December moon include the Cold Moon, which is due to the colder temperatures of December, the Yuletide Moon, and the Oak Moon. The Farmers Almanac calls it The Cold Moon.
The next Christmas full moon will be in 2034.
-
Morning LSU, Happy Day Off!
Good morning Native and Happy Day Off to you also, I think you need it after your long drive yesterday.

Good old UPS delivered a couple of boxes from CI that were meant as Christmas presents to a couple of nephews last night to the front door, to bad it wasn't my front door. I am guessing I will be buying something different for them now since I am sure CI's customer service will say to give it another week or two, the Bastiges.
-
Guess these MF's were not sold out at Fathers Day so a damn nice deal for Christmas, cigars are a deal without the swag. Help yourselves I already got mine ;D. Sent the son one for Christmas too.
$1.00 flat rate shipping

Good morning Native and Happy Day Off to you also, I think you need it after your long drive yesterday.
Thanks, issue is it is only 100 miles of all interstate, most of it 6 lanes and somewhat rural with 75 mph speed limits but it took almost 3.5 hours.

Frik'n SurePost! As bad as Famous has gotten their shipping is sure a lot better than CI these days. I have about quit buying from CI and only use Famous when I can pull off a great deal.

That sounds like here Wednesday, 7 tractor trailers wrecked on new bridge that caused it to be shut down for 14 or so hours causing everyone that normally took that route right through town clogging up all the roads and screwing both the morning and evening traffic up for a couple of extra hours.

I very seldom buy anything either but I found one of those cheap humidor deals, 19.99 for a 40ct humidor and 10 crap cigars for 19.99, they only smoke cigars at Christmas every year when I give them all some so quality cigars were not an issue.

Nice gift, probably a lot better than the cigars they would pick up at the drug store or gas station.

Good morning boys and girls...!
Morning, BD. What sort of wacky adventures are you getting involved in today?
-
My wife drug me out to the car last night at 10 p.m. to see if the automatic headlights would come on. Can anyone guess what happened...? THEY CAME ON...!!!! I think what started this was, she got off of work the other morning at 8 a.m. rather than 7 a.m. and the headlights didn't automatically come on at 8 a.m. This morning she got off at 7 a.m., so when she got home I asked her if her headlights were still broke, and she said, "no..!" I was hoping for, "Oh honey, you were completely right as usual..." But it was just a simple no. End of conversation.
I've never lied to her ever. Except for maybe a little white lie to keep from hurting her feelings. But when she asks me something, she always assumes I'm lying. Mmmm, now that's got me wondering, "Why would some one always consider your lying when you never have..?"

I'm sure it's like everyone else's..... I guess everyone is excited to watch the new episode of, "Marriage Boot Camp...!" This season is interesting because Mama June and Sugar Bear are on there, and they seem to be the only normal couple. I think I have it on my DVR. So it will be, Marriage Boot Camp, cigar, and a Bloody Mary for the next hour...! And don't act like you guys are not doing the same thing... :)

If those 2 are the only normal couple, that show must be an absolute trainwreck of nonsense. The wife and I will be doing our Xmas shopping for the kids later, then I'll enjoy a cigar or 2 after the kids go to bed. Not sure what we'll be watching, since Doctor Who ended last week. Probably just random stuff of mine on the DVR.

My son is a major Doctor Who fan. It always seemed to cheesy for me. The only times I've tried to watch it was when there was a cute girl that always wore a mini-skirt.

Got the warden to Walmart and back, we have a secret Super Walmart here and it was a breeze. Below is a picture of the secret Walmart parking lot at 10:00 this morning and inside there was not a single person at the checkouts. We checked out about 11:30 and there were a few people checking out but no lines just walked up and checked out. Amazing!

The only thing that makes Walmart better is a Walmart with no one inside. That's why we do the grocery shopping early on Tuesdays, can't deal with the idiots. Now, we'll probably be there tonight in the midst of our Xmas shopping, so I'll just have to try to contain my desire to punch someone while I'm there.

I normally will not go in a Walmart but this one is nice. There are almost always more people working there than shopping there. We needed some toys and clothes for our secret Santa adopted family and this close to Christmas we were the only people in the toy and clothing departments. A few people in the grocery section.

Can't go wrong there. My only hope is that more people are out enjoying the nice weather instead of shopping later, but I doubt I'll be that lucky.

Best of the day though is I cut a fat cigar hog at Famous! Bought 3 boxes of JH 12 Honest Men, 10 601 Green Robusto's (Mash) and 5 Undercrown Corona's. (Mash) Got 30% off everything and free shipping. $75/box for 12 Honest Men, 5/$12 for 601's and 5/$17.50 for Undercrowns delivered.

The crappy end of today is tonight. Got to go to the Wardens company Christmas Party no to top it off the mother fooker is downtown. Plenty of free booze but can't drive home and a cab ride from downtown to here is about $100. They used to pay for hotel, rooms for all that requested one but oil is too cheap so that perk got cut.

Ever tried one of those Uber-type services? Might be cheaper than a cab.

What was the reason for that, just trying to be different than the rest of America? ;)

Ever tried one of those Uber-type services? Might be cheaper than a cab.
They outlawed them here, my son uses them regularly in SC
What was the reason for that, just trying to be different than the rest of America? ;)
Cab companies bought off the city.
Same way all government decisions are made

Our church did something similar. 160 families, by invitation through recommendations from local teachers and social workers to avoid the cheats. New coats, groceries, and six rooms full of new gifts they could "shop" while we entertained the kids. Then we gift-wrapped for them. And yes, I helped the team of translators, Tex. ;-)

Yeah the cops gave us 3 names and the lady in charge (my boss) checked them out and this one was certainly in the deepest need. We are wrapping all of them this week then someone is delivering them to their house on Christmas Eve.

Black Belt Buckle performed well. Excellent draw and burn. The wrapper did not improve the original blend and may have muted it a bit. I was surprised that they didn't do this with the sublimes vitola and I think it would have been a better choice. If you like the Four Kicks and EPC broadleaf you'll like this too as there were no surprises. Worth the $5 I paid. Better than most EPC. Not as good as most CH. First impressions based on one cigar.

Howdy CB, yep I know that one now that you say it, have smoked them in the past, good cigar.
Black Belt Four Kicks is the Four Kicks with a Maduro wrapper and a limited edition. Damn near 70 degrees today. 30 degrees above average for this time of year.

Thanks Ogie.
+1. Do enjoy most of the CH line, so will put that one on the list.
