One thing for damn sure, at least one of those will not be there next week.

Congratulations to Daves Clemson Tigers, I finally agree on the #1 spot.
We play our national championship game this Saturday, to Tiger fans beating Alabama is as good as winning the National Championship.

When the wise company president learned that his employees were tanking up

following memo:

To all employees; If you must drink during you lunch
hours, please drink whiskey. It is better for our customers to know you're
drunk than to think you're stupid.

Unfortunately not. I'm not really surprised that it failed, but I am surprised at how badly it failed. Not sure if that's just people having qualms about it being limited to a small number of investors, or just people not wanting it in general. Guess we'll see if it gets back on the ballot in May.

Must be nice. Short week for me as well, took Friday off since Nate is coming over to watch the Browns game tomorrow night. Grilling and smoking, plus watching football well into the night, didn't seem like getting up at 2:50 the next morning would work out well for me.

One thing for damn sure, at least one of those will not be there next week.

Congratulations to Daves Clemson Tigers, I finally agree on the #1 spot.
We play our national championship game this Saturday, to Tiger fans beating Alabama is as good as winning the National Championship.

I think they surprised every college football fan alive with that lineup, especially since there are 12 undefeated teams and there is a one loss team in the top 4.  Should be interesting!

Perhaps a targeting penalty for a hit on the Big 12 would be appropriate  ;)

Yea, couple of Texas teams probably not happy, but as you said, much of this will sort itself out, beginning this Saturday.  I'm probably more surprised that Ohio State is in the initial top 4 than Alabama.

Last night TexDave was worried about where Dabo was going to get all the pizza.
Here's the probable answer:

"The only poll that we’re excited about is Dec. 6, and I promise you we’ll have the biggest poll party you’ve seen,” Swinney said. "We’ll open up Death Valley and serve pizza to everybody. That’ll be a time to celebrate a poll. Until then, it doesn’t matter."

Will the Pizza be from a local Pizza Hut, Papa John's Pizza, Little Ceasar Pizza, Peppino's, Mellow Mushroom, Todaro Pizza or some combination of all of them?

So with that, you have about a 50/50 chance of getting a decent piece.

That number would have to include gang warfare, which by a vast margin involves illegally procured weapons - not legal gun sales.

Neither do the websites out there that are "tracking" mass shootings.  One of many examples: Cops show up to a domestic in SC.  Known criminal inside opens fire on the cops, and when the shooting stops three people are dead.  Criminal runs out the back door and drives away, to be arrested later.  No one's really sure whether it was the cops or the crook that killed the victims.  But 3 people are dead, so it's a mass shooting.

That's not meaningful data.

You know better than to just lob a softball like that around here!
Yea, well, doing what I can to minimize the early afternoon lull...

I think we are technically still in the lunch lull, but Tx is IN the airplane... plenty of leg room in there.

Hey, TxDave, Shaun, DoItForJohnnyDave
LALTS, well, he's getting the start tomorrow, so let's see if the JohnnyLovers jizz themselves cheering.

Ha! Well, at least you're already planning on drinking. Could change the amount though, so be a good boy scout and "be prepared"... just in case.  ;)
Actually, Nate cancelled on me cause he's planning on being a big movie star Thus and Fri night. So it'll be just the wife and I. Still drinking and smoking, though.
Maybe better than Nate....just sayin'   :-X

Least you got a nice 3-day weekend out of the deal.
He'll always be a "who the fuck are you again?" to us. Haha.

I thought I'd stop in for a few minutes and say, "hi everyone."  I've been working on my wife's laptop, and after awhile I just want to scream, and go watch tv for awhile.  I put a new hard drive into to, and have nothing but problems, non-stop.  Finally I switched in the bios from AHCI to Compatibility Controller mode, and everything but the sound works.  The sound driver keeps saying unsigned.  I tried reinstalling the driver, but still the same problem.  If I press F8 while booting and select boot with unassigned drivers, everything works great.  I uninstalled the sound driver again, and will try reinstalling it.  Otherwise I guess it's always going to be an F8 unassigned signed drivers boot from not on... ugh..!

I have a full bottle of this stuff (Bulleit), but in the Green Rye version.  I like it allot.  But a couple of weeks ago they had Makers Mark on sale for $22.95 a 1/5th.  My wife was nice and bought me one.  But later I was nicer and snuck back up to the store and bought me 2 more bottles, in which I gave my son one.  I do like the Bulleit allot better than the Makers Mark thou.

Actually, the YouTube video with the attractive girl from Western Digital made it seem easy.  1. Remove HD Cover, 2. Remove Screws, 3. Pull out old HD. 4. Remove adaptor from old HD and Place on New. 5. Insert new HD, 6. Replace Cover, 7. Install backup software.  That took 20 minutes.  I've been trouble shooting it for the past 3 weeks for drivers not assigned.  YIKES...!!!  Well, that's enough of that...!

Otherwise I guess it's always going to be an F8 unassigned signed drivers boot from not on... ugh..!
Damn - that sounds like a fricken mess!
Drivers are the worst, nice job on the HDD swap. Did you go to an SSD?

I'll try to talk her into a drinking game. Every time the Browns do something stupid, she drinks. Should make the rest of my night a cake walk. ;)
And with Manziel starting....
Damn, I like Cameron Diaz...!

No, I just replaced it with a similar 500 gb laptop hard drive for $50.  But who ever thought up that Signed Driver shit should be shot...!  Before I switch the bios from AHCI to Compatibility, the Wi-Fi driver would not work.  So I tired a Wi-Fi driver from a Think Pad, and it worked perfect...  After switching to Compatibility mode, all the drivers work except the sound.  Oh well..

IBMs are notoriously shitty for putting firmware on their HDs that forces compatibility checks.  I had a T43 when I was in college and I swapped out the HDD when it went down - still to this day when I restart it the computer goes to a validate screen and then beeps before booting windows.

You should be able to disable the driver signature checking permanently. What version of Windows?
