Home Remedies
-------------------------

1. If you are choking on an ice cube simply pour a cup of boiling water down your throat. Presto!

2. Avoid cutting yourself slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold while you chop.

3. Avoid arguments with the Mrs. about lifting the toilet seat by using the sink..

4. For high blood pressure sufferers: simply cut yourself and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins. Remember to use a timer..

5. A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button .

6. If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives.

7. You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

8. Remember: Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

Morning Sleepers Travellin Dave, CG and Tony.  Waiting for this little meeting to start, talking to a state trooper major telling me that a McDonalds would not serve them coffee.
There was a big issue about that happening at a Dunkin' Donuts the other day.  Commie assholes.

Morning, muchachos. The brother and his wife are on the outs, which led to us killing a bottle of Wild Turkey 101 last night. I'm feeling it this morning.
good choice of bourbon, one of my favorites back in the day, over 31 years ago.
now was that a celebratory event or a drown my sorrows situation?
sorry for the news either way.

flip-----Jean Shepard wrote a book "In God We Trust - All Others pay Cash!", I remember sharing a pitcher of Fife & Drum dark beer with him, when he came to talk at the University of Rochester in 1974-75 ish.  His articles were always good reading material, gave Playboy some redeeming social value.  Most of you know him from "The Christmas Story", You'll shoot your eye out!.

Were you a "listener"?  Shep had a talk show on WOR Radio weeknights at 11:00 pm back in the 60s.  It was just him, no guests, talking about all sorts of funny stuff.  I have an autographed copy of that book.

He also did some old car shows for Discovery Channel back in the 80s. In one episode he was in a 1930 Dusenberg and "raced" Brock Yates, who was driving a 1930 Packard around IMS.  Great stuff.

Will try that gay place :), Oak Creek is ok for lunch, certainly not the Best in Tex for sure.  But got a meat and 2 with tea for $7 so not bad on the wallet.  They have a catfish lunch special on Fridays that is pretty good.  Warden was there at lunch last weekend and a friend wanted bbq so they stopped at a place on the western end of town called Railroad BBq, she thought it was pretty good so brought me some ribs and brisket home for dinner and it was pretty dog-gone good.

Always think about trying that BBQ place, but it never seems too busy when I ride through lunch time-ish, so concluded it was not all that good. I will make a point of stopping in there next time.

WAYYYYY worse, basically it is another sad hippie suburb and still going downhill.  That area is booming with residential construction and breweries.

Chicken fried steak in Dripping Springs, TX for lunch, yummmm!
What restaurant?
Oak Creek Cafe
I have eaten breakfast there.  Sorta meh for that meal.  Next time you're through there try this place: http://thymeanddough.com/ (http://thymeanddough.com/).   Gay name but great eats.
Turkey bacon, chicken sausage??
They have the real stuff, too.  There has been a quite a bit of fru-fru spillover into that area from Austin in recent years.  And getting worse.
WAYYYYY worse, basically it is another sad hippie suburb and still going downhill.  That area is booming with residential construction and breweries.

Bastiges have destroyed Beorne too.
Wimberly is in the cross hairs, as is Blanco.  We're trying to hold the line up here in Round Rock.

It was up for grabs you should have joined the party!  Just had to buy some catsrule eligible smokes off the Mash and then add the Jericho's to them as a preorder and Bingo!  If they still have some you can do it just got to find something worthwhile and eligible to add on.

Learned it from Cheapo Beano ;)

What a fucking day.  Sheesh.
Tough day at City Hall?
I'm considering politics as an alternative to this bullshit.  I'm not that big a scumbag though.
Don't sell yourself short Tony.  I believe you can be a great scumbag.
Maybe you're right.  But speaking of leaders, if you have 12 minutes I recommend you watch this:

What a fucking day.  Sheesh.
Well sheesh on them and go home Mayor.
Finally left.  Lit a Punch Signature for the walk to the train station.  So far, so good.
Punch is generally a pretty decent smoke.
CF stick?  I wasn't thrilled with that one.
I wasn't expecting much out of the Punch so I'm actually enjoying it.  Perhaps all the down time has helped it.

Edit:  a pigeon shit on my phone while I was posting.  That's par for the day I've been having.
LATS.  That is rough.
True story.  Glad I had napkins and some hand sanitizer.
Better be glad he missed your head!
I was grateful.  It could have been much worse.  I wasn't even pissed about it.

2nds have always been a bit of a different animal - with us handcuffed as to the details of the exact blend. It's all part of the bargaining agreement, and a lot of fine print mumbo-jumbo. But this time, we've broken free of our ball and chain, and we're spilling the beans. We recently received a very special shipment of Oliva Serie 'V' 2nds - exclusively Serie 'V' -  and we're dolling them out for as little as $49.99 per bundle of 15. That's just $3.33 per cigar. That's absurd. And it's a deal you won't see anywhere.

Call the National Guard. Better yet, the Army. No, no, call the Marines. Heck, call them all. Hell is going to break loose when word gets out. Riots in the streets. Couches on fire. And people running amok like a bad dinosaur flick. All because these seconds are the exact same blend as the 94-rated Serie 'V'. Due to Oliva's strict standards, some of the wrappers may appear a tad light, or contain a blemish or sun spot. Other than that, it's  100% the same. On the outside, a beautiful Habano Sun Grown wrapper glistens with oils. Thick and smooth as silk, this impressive leaf conceals a powerful, yet balanced and smooth blend of aged Nicaraguan ligero from the Jalapa Valley of Nicaragua. Full-bodied and full-flavored, offering layers of coffee, spice, and tobacco flavors, with a touch of dark, unsweetened chocolate on the finish. Incredible.

This is your lucky day. It's like opening a bag of jelly beans, to discover only your favorite flavor inside. Oliva Serie 'V' 2nds are here... but they won't be for long.

If you don't have to deal with a lot of light pollution, Draconid meteor showers tonight and tomorrow night.  A lot more irregular than other better known ones but these can best be seen in the evening rather than pre dawn.

Nothing quite like getting a new tool and deploying it after 10 pm, the time frame in which most tools are deployed, by and large.

There are enough tools around, deployment is moot.

Well, if deployment is lasting more than four hours, see a doctor.
