Morning, muchachos. I'm a little drunk and wondering why the hell I volunteer to navigate shit-storms.

Honest
-------------------------

An investment counselor decided to go out on her own. She was shrewd and diligent, so business kept coming in, and pretty soon she realized that she needed an in-house counsel. She began to interview young lawyers.

"As I'm sure you can understand," she started off with one of the first applicants, "in a business like this, our personal integrity must be beyond question." She leaned forward. "Mr. Peterson, are you an honest lawyer?"

"Honest?" replied the job prospect. "Let me tell you something about honest. Why, I'm so honest that my father lent me $15,000 for my education, and I paid back every penny the minute I tried my very first case."

"Impressive. And what sort of case was that?"

The lawyer squirmed in his seat and admitted, "He sued me for the money."

Lake has a reasonable summer level in it but we are back in the early stages of a draught again, other than one small shower (1/10") last week we have not had rain since late June.

That's the one decent thing about my company, despite their recent nonsense with the scheduling - we still get a pretty decent amount of time off. For my tenure, I get 25 days off a year. In 3 more years, that'll go up to 30.

That does sound like a nice relief. We've had the hot/humid machine running pretty good here for awhile. And almost no rain, so I haven't mowed the grass in weeks. Dropping down to 75 tomorrow from 88 today. Will practically feel like fall, I'm guessing.

Morning CG, send that rain right on down here as soon as you get what you need.

Picked up some SN & SA Octoberfest yesterday
It's been dry as hell here lately, my yard was in desperate need of some rain.  I am going to hit the candy store(liquor store) over lunch and see if I can find some fall beers to try.
Went to one yesterday myself, still can't find Heisenberg vodka anywhere. It's a conspiracy.

playing here Sunday morning 7am.

http://www.plantationoncrystalriver.com/golf.htm
Which course?
the Championship course. $95 a round, my cost is $0. guest invite.
Score! Watch out for 17, sounds like a bear over water.
I played the course once before in September when I first got here. wasn't terribly impressed. a lot of resort hype. at the time I had one time only passes for $25 for a foursome introductory offer after 1pm.

GOLF DAY!!!!
woohoo.
Morning Dean, too wet for golf.
front 9 is closed, we'll play the back twice. we will basically have the course to ourselves, there's a 1/2 hour gap with a twosome in front of us and a 1/2 gap with a foursome behind us.
Sounds like a plan. Though, you may see that foursome again around the 15th hole.
Ya know, when talking about Dean, that statement just takes on a whole different meaning...   :-X

O-boy just bought an airline ticket to SC, something to look forward to.

Nov 3-10 for these but we are going to spend a couple of days in Charleston before going to MB, hoping to meet up with Short Stack on the 5th.  and now got to get some tickets  for Christmas.  Relative to normal SC Flight prices tickets were not obscene for either time.

This is why when I ran my own consultancy I never, ever took lawyers on as clients. They never pay their bills.

Morning, muchachos.

Longtime Subway pitchman Jared Fogle is scheduled to plead guilty Wednesday to federal charges of distributing child pornography and illicit sexual conduct with a minor, according to court documents released by U.S. prosecutors.

Subway, owned by Doctor’s Associates Inc., severed ties with the 37-year-old earlier this summer following a raid of his home in suburban Indianapolis by federal authorities.

Fogle on Wednesday was charged with distribution and receipt of child pornography and travel to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor, according to documents filed by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana.

The court filings included an agreement signed by Fogle, under which he will plead guilty to the two criminal counts and request a prison term of no shorter than five years. Prosecutors under the agreement can ask for a sentence of up to 12 1/2 years, according to court documents.

Michael Waltrip Racing will not race full-time in 2016 and is releasing Clint Bowyer from his contract at the end of this season.

Nine years following its full-time Sprint Cup debut and three years after nearly winning the championship, Michael Waltrip Racing is on the verge of extinction.

The two-car NASCAR team co-owned equally by Michael Waltrip and Rob Kauffman announced Wednesday that it would cease fielding cars full-time at the conclusion of the 2015 season. MWR is also permitting driver Clint Bowyer to pursue other opportunities for 2016 and dissolving his contract with the organization. (David Ragan, MWR's second driver, is a free agent at the end of the season.)

These series of moves follows Kauffman and Chip Ganassi Racing announcing last month that Kauffman was purchasing an undisclosed stake of Ganassi's two-car team. That transaction was expected to include Bowyer and sponsor 5-Hour Energy transitioning to Ganassi, which would expand to three cars pairing Bowyer with Ganassi drivers Jamie McMurray and Kyle Larson.

You will not hear this on CNN!

From Gun Owners of America:

Obama wants more UN-styled gun control

Right now White House officials are booking flights to Mexico...... and they’re not bringing back souvenirs.

They’re on their way to the UN Small Arms Conference, to be held in Mexico City on August 24.

And they’re planning to bring back the framework for a global gun control regime.

It’s important that you contact your Senators right now and tell them to vote NO on any agreement reached at the Mexico UN conference.

Obama has already signed the UN Small Arms Treaty and it is waiting ratification by the Senate.

Obama’s global gun grabbers are jetting down to Mexico to iron out the details of this tyrannical new regime.

It requires signing nations to "establish and maintain a national control system, including a national control list."

That means not just NATIONAL gun registration. You will be entered into a GLOBAL gun registration database.

Over the past century, we have seen registration lists used as a prelude to gun confiscation in countries like Rwanda, Cambodia and many more.

Gun confiscation, in turn, led to horrific genocides in many of these countries -- including Rwanda and Cambodia.

Imagine dictators around the world -- who can control the UN blue helmets (aka, the UN military force) -- having your name on record as a gun owner.

It’s preposterous!  And this is why the Senate MUST kill this toxic agreement.

Please take action to defend your gun rights.

I was smoking a Cuban Hoyo on the way home tonight.  An older gentleman started talking to me and sat beside me with his pipe.  He stuff it with the nubs of cigars he had smoked.  In fact, he asked me for mine when I was done with it.  Then he proceeded to tell me stories of all these woman he's banged.  It was quite funny but I excuses myself and moved on.  I love New York.
