Brewster
-------------------------

Whitey was in the fertilized egg business. He had several hundred
young layers called pullets and eight or ten roosters, whose job was to
fertilize the eggs. Whitey kept records and any rooster that didn't
perform went into the soup pot and was replaced.

That took an awful lot of Whitey's time so Whitey got a set of
tiny bells and attached them to his roosters.

Each bell had a different tone so Whitey could tell from a
distance, which rooster was performing.

Now he could sit on the porch and fill out an efficiency report
simply by listening to the bells.

Whitey's favorite rooster was old Brewster, a very fine specimen
he was, too. But on this particular morning Whitey noticed old Brewster's
bell hadn't rung at all!

Whitey went to investigate. The other roosters were chasing
pullets, bells-a-ringing. The pullets, hearing the roosters coming, would run for
cover.

BUT, to Whitey's amazement, Brewster had his bell in his beak, so
it couldn't ring. He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the
next one.

Whitey was so proud of Brewster, he entered him in the county
fair... and Brewster became an overnight sensation among the judges.
The result...

The judges not only awarded Brewster the "No Bell Piece Prize" but
they also awarded him the "Pulletsurprise" as well.

There is a Popeyes Fried Chicken ad on TV for Rip'n Chicken that is torturing me.
Does that describe what it does to your system after you eat it?

LOL   Here you do all that through the County Tax Office, about all the DMV does is issue the titles and drivers licenses.  Works A little better because it splits the crowds but in the large urban areas it is still a mess.  After the first Austin DMV office experience when I have to deal with the DMV in person I always drive about 60 miles to a small rural office.

Money Grab coming to your town soon, here it is cops on bicycles.  My boss lady got nabbed by one a few weeks ago for changing lanes too close to the intersection.

If you’re driving through Marietta, Georgia, and encounter men who appear to be conducting a road survey, all might not be what it seems.

The guy wearing a yellow vest and hardhat might have a bulletproof vest and a badge underneath. The Marietta Police Department has some officers posing as construction workers or road surveyors to catch people who are texting while driving or using their phones in any other distracting manner.

If you've ever noticed the number of challanged drivers out there, you'd know that a cell phone, makeup brush and/or chicken wing doesn't really help their efforts.

Texting while Driving (or walking) is a dangerous thing and people should definitely stop doing it.  BUT, just like the piss-ant seatbelt tickets it is not about safety but only Money and Performance Numbers.  Both are really cover for DUI checks.  Ugh Sir I stopped you for not wearing a seatbelt, wait a minute is that beer is smell?  Please step out of the car........  Basically the cop gets 1 performance point for a seatbelt ticket, 3 points for a Cell Phone ticket or 10 points for a DUI arrest.

This story is perfect timing to push the Planned Parenthood shitshow aside, so of course it's getting tons of attention.  F'n Mustafa factor.

G'Morning, Fellas. Happy Friday!
Good morning, Steve.

Hey, Mr. Mayor... how was the commie-ute this morning?
Best commute all week.  Weather was near perfect too.

Good deal. While there isn't rain in the forecast until next Wednesday, it's still muggy as hell here.

Howdy, NJDave.  Did your shit-kickers arrive yet?
Coming today.  Have to get out my cut off short shorts and break them in this afternoon.

Good morning Tony, Dean, Dave(s), Golf!
Howdy, Sam.  Wound up smoking an Oliva V torp on my way home last night.  Turned out to have a shitty draw but it still tasted fine.
Damn shame about the draw, like the V's alot.  had a Murc toro myself.  Nice flavors and good draw, very enjoyable.
He musta had one of those clearance CI V's, the one I had was perfect!  jk ;)
Morning, Sam
I have a box of 'em left.  I hope they aren't all that way.
Probably not, I've had different sizes and shapes of V's and occasionally I've gotten one hard to draw.  Doesn't seem to be one certain size with issues.
I don't buy V's anymore because too many are packed too tightly.  And don't say "drawpoker", the stick smokes and tastes like crap after you poke big hole down the center.  And often the hole closes up again as soon as you start sucking on it (there's a TWSS in there somewhere).

The one I don't care for is the figurado. Had a 5pk way back when that was horrible. Haven't made an effort to revisit since.

Now that Seattle has contracts coming up for some of their major pieces, they'll see how difficult it is to keep a team together in free agency. Football is just around the corner!

Morning Fish, little early for your arrival.
I start work at 6:00, just depends on when I chew through enough work and log on...GFY
It is. Friday so you wisely Banter first. :)
Very true, long week. Couldn't wait for this week to end, party at my BILs after work so will smoke a few stogies and maybe enjoy an adult beverage or 6
Just don't get drunk and kill Pet Lion!
Zimbabwe wants that guy extradited now. Be very interested to see how that plays out.
PETA crowd wants him dead.

But I have hunted my whole life and as most others who have I find the needless killing of Lions, Elephants, Buffalo, musk oxen and such by make believe pay-for-play idiots like him sickening.
you can eat the buffalo, not exactly the toughest thing to hunt though.  they just stand there in large herds.  I think my youngest brother paid like $500 for the ability to shoot one on Ted Turner's ranch out in Montana.  he did say they just stand there, so he used an antique black powder rifle to make it sporting.   good morning boys...

of course, he even ate the mountain lion that he shot.  buffalo is very lean red meat,
just don't over cook it.  my other brothers father in law would go bear hunting, and they would
butcher the bear and make bear chili.   my maternal grandfather used to go hunting with a ladder
and make pasta with baby birds he took from the nest.

Did it give him an erection?  Ted appreciates the money he threw away.

Buffalo is good eating though but for $500 + incidental expenses he could have just purchased about 50 pounds ready to eat.

you can eat the buffalo, not exactly the toughest thing to hunt though.  they just stand there in large herds.  I think my youngest brother paid like $500 for the ability to shoot one on Ted Turner's ranch out in Montana.  he did say they just stand there, so he used an antique black powder rifle to make it sporting.   good morning boys...
Did he eat it?  Good morning, Flip.
of course, he even ate the mountain lion that he shot.  buffalo is very lean red meat,
just don't over cook it.  my other brothers father in law would go bear hunting, and they would
butcher the bear and make bear chili.   my maternal grandfather used to go hunting with a ladder
and make pasta with baby birds he took from the nest.
Baby pigeons?  Do they even exist?  I think they hatch as adults.  I've seen millions of pigeons in my life and never a baby one.  Hmmm.

Did it give him an erection?  Ted appreciates the money he threw away.

Buffalo is good eating though but for $500 + incidental expenses he could have just purchased about 50 pounds ready to eat.
it was close to 900lbs

Looks like Russell Wilson just got 'PAYED'.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/report--russell-wilson-becomes-nfl-s-second-highest-paid-qb-with-monster-deal-140330962.html

Now that Seattle has contracts coming up for some of their major pieces, they'll see how difficult it is to keep a team together in free agency. Football is just around the corner!
I don't think so. Remember, this team wasn't bought like the Broncos were. All these guys, including Wilson, were the overlooked and rejected. Pete Carroll and John Schneider have demonstrated their greatness at finding and developing overlooked talent. We've got our franchise quarterback, so we're inevitably going to have to lose some of our "superstars." But those guys came from the dregs of the NFL. Thing about the dregs is, there's always plenty of them ;-)

CI let me keep them in my cart, still there I should pull the trigger. Never smoked one before though
I have smoked a lot of  the Toros but never a corona.
Same here, would be interested in your take on them when you try one.
i'm betting they will taste like a cigar, my pallet has not improved with all those Gurkhas I've smoked. 8)

no, they paid more for the live chickens then for the "fresh" ones in the grocery store.  this is the
same grandfather who would love to forage for mushrooms, but would get lost in the woods occasionally he was all of
four feet tall. it was easier to go with him earlier in the morning across the street, then to go looking for him later on.

LOL, yeah, i suppose it would look odd, and I usually get some sort of seafood there, but saw the Angus burger on the menu, have never had a bad meal there, and decided to try it.  Good move as it seems they know how to cook beef as well as fish.

Hope he gets full access to the footage.  Could be very interesting/embarrassing for the owners...see what they're really looking at.  Maybe bring them up on a few extra charges.

My question is, in shooting drones, is it better using a 12 gauge or a pistol.  I would lean to the shotgun.

Shotgun more expeditious, pistol more fun and challenging.  Airsoft if you want to stay out of jail in most neighborhoods.

Yeah. Didn't get the whole 'looking at another house' reasoning. I think we all know what they were doing... justifying the shooter, imo. Being a gun owner, he should have know about the firearms rule though. People will just find alternate means to bring them down...

Practicality suggests shotgun as the pellets do not travel as far as the bullet from a hand gun or rifle.  not to mention many more chances in 1 shot to actually hit the drone in a shotgun than a rifle or pistol.

"However, Merideth was arrested for wanton endangerment and criminal mischief. There is, apparently, a local ordinance that says you can't shoot a gun off in the city, but the police charged him under a Kentucky Revised Statute".  Oh brother.
Hope he gets full access to the footage.  Could be very interesting/embarrassing for the owners...see what they're really looking at.  Maybe bring them up on a few extra charges.

My question is, in shooting drones, is it better using a 12 gauge or a pistol.  I would lean to the shotgun.
Practicality suggests shotgun as the pellets do not travel as far as the bullet from a hand gun or rifle.  not to mention many more chances in 1 shot to actually hit the drone in a shotgun than a rifle or pistol.
just think of it as hovering skeet shooting....

Really. Can you imagine if Amazon gets its wish to use these for delivery... things will be getting 'skyjacked' everywhere. lol

Yeah. Didn't get the whole 'looking at another house' reasoning. I think we all know what they were doing... justifying the shooter, imo. Being a gun owner, he should have know about the firearms rule though. People will just find alternate means to bring them down...
I believe it's a perfect opportunity for a wrist rocket

That would be another fun and legal alternative. I get the fun of drones, but don't go flying it around in a suburban neighborhood.  Peeping Toms gone high tech.  George McFly Inc.

Anybody see that CI "pick your sampler" kinda deal? They had some acceptable offerings, specifically Brick House robustos, Asylum Toros, and Romeo y Julieta Bully belicosos. Thinking about doing it, if I can find the free ship code.

Buddy Emmons is gone.  That man was a genius.

I'm a pretty good guitar player.  But I can tell you from personal experience that an average pedal-steel guitarist can play rings around an excellent six-string picker.  You play the six-string with your hands, arms and shoulders.  Pedal steel requires your hands, arms, shoulders, knees, legs, feet, and torso.  And don't ever, EVER take your eyes off the fretboards.

RIP.

Recommend you set the camera resolution to minimum needed to acquire the target.  We don't need to see a high-res video of TxDave.

Nice. I always thought they were kinda cheesy looking. Then I started riding the bike and figured out that all those pockets and flaps have a real purpose.

Got mine second-hand. Broken in, like my bike. Cost me $50 bucks. But I love that thing.
