Alligator Shoes
-------------------------

A young blonde was on vacation in the depths of Louisiana. She wanted a pair of genuine alligator shoes in the worst way, but was very reluctant to pay the high prices the local vendors were asking.

After becoming very frustrated with the "no haggle" attitude of one of the shopkeepers, the blonde shouted, "Maybe I'll just go out and catch my own alligator so I can get a pair of shoes at a reasonable price!"

The shopkeeper said, "By all means, be my guest. Maybe you'll luck out and catch yourself a big one!" Determined, the blonde turned and headed for the swamps, set on catching herself an alligator.

Later in the day, the shopkeeper is driving home, when he spots the young woman standing waist deep in the water, shotgun in hand. Just then, he sees a huge 9-foot alligator swimming quickly toward her. She takes aim, kills the creature and with a great deal of effort hauls it on to the swamp bank. Laying nearby were several more of the dead creatures. The shopkeeper watches in amazement. Just then the blonde flips the alligator on its back, and frustrated, shouts out, "Damn it, this one isn't wearing any shoes either!"

Got the coronas. From what I read, that was a size that was not previously released. At $2 per, that's a no-brainer for me, since I got a bonus at work this month and had a small pile of money for cigars just now. Good timing on my part.

Mostly because it's not a regular release.  You know how AJF likes to play around with vitolas then dumps them at CI.

I saw those yesterday when I was looking around. In fact, I think the 1844s have been there for a bit. Thought about reloading on the 50s, since those are a great quick smoke, but went with the FAs instead. Those Tres Reynas are tempting, though. Perhaps if I get a bonus next month. Lol

Yes, FSausage
Tried entering that, it told me GFY.
Sounds about right

Hey Dave, Est. 1844's at CI Big Bills clearance for $39/box

Also, Tres Reynas corona box for $59
I saw those yesterday when I was looking around. In fact, I think the 1844s have been there for a bit. Thought about reloading on the 50s, since those are a great quick smoke, but went with the FAs instead. Those Tres Reynas are tempting, though. Perhaps if I get a bonus next month. Lol
The Tres Reynas are pretty much put to bed.  I was searching a bit yesterday and not available in many other places.
I feel like they've been up on the clearance page for a couple months, though. Cause I remember considering them awhile ago.
They have, only 2 sizes left. They made a 2012 (white label) and 2013 (black label) and I think that was it for the project
Only the corona is left, gordo is sold out.  By picture this is black label.  Only other place I've seen then is Smoke Inn with belicoso and robusto available (picture is white label), and all at retail price.
I'm tellin' ya, very nice cigar for under $3 EA. I think Tony smoked one?
I did and enjoyed it thoroughly.

In 1934, bank robber John Dillinger was shot to death by federal agents outside Chicago's Biograph Theater, where he had just seen the Clark Gable movie "Manhattan Melodrama."

In 1934 my father would have been 23 years old.  It's too bad I didn't think to ask him about that time period.

My father was a bootlegger, so I figured he would have been reading the news about that sort of stuff.  His family supplied most of Southern Illinois.  Now I wished I would have asked about gangsters and such, because now I can't see how you could produce that much liquor and not run into some type of trouble other than revenuers.

I'm cutting grass today.  The lawn mower was broke, so I'm a little behind.  My drinking buddy stopped by on Monday, and after putting some beer and whiskey away, I mentioned the lawn mower.  He said, "get out your tools and we'll take it apart...!"  So what the hell.  I couldn't even drive, so he took me to the auto parts store and we got a new spark plug and some carb cleaner.  Damn if he didn't get that thing running again.  The gas wasn't getting from the carb to the spark plug.  With the filter off, he put his finger over a hole (I don't even know which one) and said, "there you go, it squirted gas into the cylinder."  So, drunk as hell, we got it going.. :)

good!  thanks, will go ahead and release the box I stuck in my cart.
I think you'll regret not getting more. I smoked a few early but had one last weekend and age has made them a really good cigar, at this point the price seems ridiculous
You're probably right, but space is a real issue now.  cigar drawer is about full and I still have to find room for the extra box of Murcs i bought last week...
Just buy a bigger humidor.
Oh, right,  wonder why I didn't think of that...

Nacho scheduled for the old "snip" tomorrow, poor guy
I'll pour out some of my Diet Mt Dew for his boys.
My dogs will laugh their ass off at him and say welcome to the club nutless.
That's approximately what the wife said when I got snipped.

I find that drunk is often the most effective state to be in when fixing motor vehicles.

I was watching the Famous Auction Site the other day, and this guy bid on 3 single cigars out of a lot of 5 singles.  I was wondering, why didn't the guy just bid on all 5....?  I didn't want just 2 cigars, and I didn't want to screw up the guys 3 cigar bid, so I passed.  I kept thinking, "is this some sort of strategy to come back in at the last minute and grab all 5 cigars..?

some folks think in terms of singles, not five packs...  on cbid I find i have trouble winning a 5 pack of cigars for $10 dollars, but i can buy 7 to 10 singles for $2 apiece.

Did you see that new program, "I am Jazz.."  I'm not sure what to make of that one.  The 3 year old boy is running around the house in his mothers high heels, then asks, "Mommy, am I a boy or a girl..."  Mmmmm, let's tell him he's a girl until he's 14, and get a tv show.  Even I wore my mom's high heels when I was 3, but I was a giant, not a girl..!  Oh that reminds me, "Have you seen the new program with giant girls...?"

Monday I had a doctors appointment.  I'm waiting in the exam room when a new Doctor comes in.  Oh my, she was an intern round 26 to 28 year old.  And I kid you not, on a scale from 1 to 10, she was defiantly an 8.5...!!!!  I couldn't stop staring at her and had to make myself not look at her so I wouldn't seem creepy.  All that went through my head was, "now why have I been putting off that prostate exam...?"

Had a similar experience when I was in my 20's when I went for a physical. Had to tell her it wasn't going to work. I wasn't necessarily embarrassed to be sitting there with an erection, but ejaculation during the testicle and hernia check would have been mortifying.

By the way, I split because tomorrow is another day and fuck them!

I believe I have Mark to thank for this very good cigar.

Trains back operating on time?
Don't know yet.  Received a text saying that the buses and other forms of trans will honor my train ticket for the rest of the day.  I'll finish my cigar and then figure out what I'm gonna do.

It's not the missus that would scare me. It's the damned sexual harassment suit that would ensue.
Only if she is disappointed in what she sees.

Maybe you should get back to the computer and internet and stay away from the TV.
If you think that is bad I have those kind of visions about my Dentist!
I'm not too sure how a prostate exam with laughing gas would come across...?
Check back with TexDave after tomorrow.
Speaking of which are you still coming down this way next week Travellin Dave?
I am.  Getting in mid day on Monday and leave Thursday afternoon.  So Mon-Wed, whatever evening works best for you and Bean, and wherever is most convenient for you.
Let's make it Wednesday if it's all the same to you guys. I maybe be out of town Monday and Tuesday but back Tuesday night.
Wednesday Works fine for me.
Wednesday it is, now you just have to decide on location.
Well, since we were in New Hope last week, we could always go here...http://www.oilcanharrys.com/ (http://www.oilcanharrys.com/)

That does not look like an NJDave stick, and I do have an assortment of those in the humi.  And if you were to say you didn't like it, then it's from biebfish.
No, this stick is righteous.

Actually more like an east coast (EFDT) banter.  Need to get the mountain and left coast folks back to posting.  Or they can GFY! and recruit some new BOTL.  Just sayin'...

CB, NJDave should be referred to as ChickMagnetDave.  I was in NJ last week, and the two of us went out for dinner and some cigars.  It wasn't long before we were joined by two attractive ladies at this little street-side bar.  And no, they weren't hookers, so GFY in advance for thinking that.

Well, since we were in New Hope last week, we could always go here...http://www.oilcanharrys.com/ (http://www.oilcanharrys.com/)
That's fine as long as we can find some nice Italian and NY/Dominican ex-flight attendants to keep us company.
That Puerto Rican is just dyyyiiiinnnnggg to meet you!
Good one, Mick.

Correctomundo.  Slowin' down in my old age.  Fewer opportunities to get in trouble.

My 6 year old granddaughter wanted me to tell her a scary story.  I was really laying it on with sound effects of the howling wind, and crashes of thunder and lighting, but there was nothing really scary about the story.  I was making the story up about two little children going into the kitchen to fix lunch.  I started making the sound of howling wolves in the background, when my 3 year old grandson said, "I know what that is pawpa...!"  I said, "ya do, what is it..?"  He said, "alligators...!"  Then I heard the key going into the front door, and my granddaughter said, "Stop pawpa, that's mommy...!!!"  Ya know, I knew I should have known better than to have told those kids scary stories...!

That's strange, my wife has been acting pretty nice too.  Rubbing my neck, and wearing cute pj's during the day. She's on vacation next week, so I guess she's trying to smooth things over so we don't fight all during her vacation.

Did anyone notice that Tesla Motors now has a new speed setting for their Model S called, "Ludicrous Speed."  0-60 in 2.8 sec.

How ludicrous - the speed that is.

Rather quick, new $250,000 610 hp Lamborghini is not that fast 0-60 3.1 seconds for it.

Electric cars always have more potential torque than internal combustion engines - by a long shot. The challenge is building a strong enough architecture to transfer that torque to the wheels, and getting the wheels to stick to the ground. Tesla has done well at both. I have a friend who has a Tesla. Most powerful car I've ever ridden in, and I've ridden in some very powerful cars.

I was watching youtube Telsa vs Hellcat, and the Hellcat lost due to not being able to get traction.

Tesla is a kick-ass car, electric or otherwise.  As for electrics, hopefully other mfg's will follow suit and not put out anymore pussymobiles like the Leaf.

+1. I love internal combustion, but I'm no bigot. Torque is torque, and speed is speed, and good engineering is good engineering. Bring it.

All that needs to happen is solve the battery issues.  Got to be something on the horizon.
