I'm trying to respond with a funny quip, but if I'm trying this hard, it must not be a laughing matter.

Good morning, sir. How are things?
The weather continues to be troublesome. Going up to 71 today with some rain that shows signs of sticking around for the better part of 2 weeks, even the possibility of turning to snow next week. Which isn't terribly unusual, since we normally get at least one small bit of snow in early April. Still, I'm ready for the roller coaster to be done and get some heat and humidity back.

I think the wife and I are going out after dinner to pick up treats and so forth for the kids for Easter. Maybe I'll even get a Cadbury egg or two for myself. :D

How's about you?

No commute until next Tuesday, so there's that. It's rainy and cold here too, and like you, I'm over it.

The good news is that the rain stopped and it is just cloudy here now. We're expecting a high in the mid 70s. I'll take it!

I need to rummage through the freezer and figure out what's for dinner. In addition, we're expecting a guest. My son has this friend who comes over 1-2 days a week for dinner and tonight's that night. I don't ask any questions, but the parents are split and there's a weird domestic situation that she isn't interested in being around.

I had questions myself halfway through that. Good on you guys for giving her a place to go to escape the nonsense for a little while.

We're having a breakfast casserole for dinner. Eggs, cheese, hash browns, with some sausage on the side.

I love the casserole idea. I make that from time to time, but usually if we're having folks over for brunch. I like the idea of having it for dinner though.

I love me some breakfast casserole.  Both daughter and Julia make it, but both have a bread base instead of hash browns and crumbled sausage throughout the mix.

My mom makes one that has bread as a base, which I like, but the wife isn't a huge fan and found one with the hash browns, so that's what we have now.

Lost interest in Marvel, was never a fan of "How I Met Your Mother."  I knew her face, but not her name.  Same for Amanda Bynes.

This made me laugh out loud.

Two aliens landed their flying saucer near an abandoned gas station in the desert.  They got out of their craft and approached one of the gas pumps.  The alien captain pointed his sidearm at the pump and demanded, "Take us to your leader!" The gas pump said nothing.  The captain repeated the demand, more intensely.  "Take us to your leader!" But there was no response.

The ensign said to the captain, "Sir, I've got a bad feeling about this."

"Shut up!" said the captain.  "I'm in charge here."  He repeated his demand to the pump, "Take me to your leader!" but again the gas pump said nothing.

"Sir, I really think these guys are bad news, let's..."

"Shut UP!!" the captain shouted. "I'm the captain, dammit!" Then he turned again to the gas pump.  "Last chance! Take me to your leader!"  The gas pump still said nothing.

So the alien captain carefully aimed his weapon and fired at the pump.  The entire station exploded and the two aliens were thrown to the dirt a hundred yards away.  As they were dusting themselves off, the captain looked at his ensign and says, "Okay, how'd you know those guys were bad news?"

"Sir, I been all over this galaxy," replied the ensign.  "I've seen a lot of shit and I've learned a lot of shit.  But if I've learned anything, it's this - if you encounter a creature who can wrap its dick around its waist and hang it from its ear, just leave it to hell alone."

Lol, wise words, indeed.

I chuckled. I'd heard this one before, but I'm bad at remembering jokes.
