Very interesting. I just read up on this a bit. His dad was a doctor in Molfetta. His mom was a very proud Neapolitan woman and insisted on giving birth to all her children (five boys) in Naples. So while she was in labor, she would make the trek out by train. The reasoning was that one day when any of them should become famous and be asked where they were born, they wouldn't have to explain where Molfetta was because everyone knows where Naples is.
