Business Trip
-------------------------

One of the airlines recently introduced a special half-fare rate for wives accompanying their husbands on business trips.

Anticipating some valuable testimonials, the publicity department of the airline sent out letters to all the wives of businessmen who used the special rates, asking how they enjoyed their trip.

Responses are still pouring in asking, "What trip?"

We had a little rain yesterday but has rained heavy most of the night, as miserable as it may be we badly need every drop of it.  The big lake here is down about 52 feet.  49 degrees now.

At least it will get above freezing today. This pic is for Ohio Dave. I love this place. Gonna go back there some day.
I'd just be happy to be in a shirt without sleeves at this point. At least it's finally warming a bit this week. Morning, all.

Doing okay Dave. Had a few ladies check the place out yesterday to see what all I need, one brought a brand new set of dishes that belonged to her daughter, they are going to take me to yard sales and thrift stores to shop. Very quiet here too.

Especially because Charlie has to drop his son off at school first and then head my way.  Which is also another reason I now prefer CF on Fridays because otherwise he says he'll be at my house at 8 and gets there around 11.  The more I think about it, the more unlikely it is to happen.  Probably couldn't get to the course before 11.

Speaking of shooting, I have to leave work early to drive to the Sheriff's office and renew my concealed pistol license. So I'm working JWacky hours today. Knocking off promptly at noon.  Have an Odyssey for the drive, and lots of black coffee.
Morning RAZ, we can just do that online now.
Show-off.  We aren't so advanced here.  I think they hope I'll forget.  Morning, Tex
We renew every 5 years, used to have to take a classroom/range renewal training course each time but they did away with that last year which was when mine was up for renewal and did it all online in about 15 minutes.

Morning Fish, Dean & Bean.
Morning TXDave.  Gotta love this slow, steady rain we're getting.  Slow and steady that lasts a while is better than a fast pounding which is over quickly.
So no IT today?
One showed up, wife brought him to work.  Guess she had enough of his lazy azz around the house.
His staying home, got in the way of the substitute she has for him at home.
besides he keeps asking what that buzzing noise is, and why does it screw up the TV reception...

Not really but it lowers your premium a minor amount.   If you are the "provider" of the booze you are screwed.

put the car up on ramps, catch old oil in a pan, take off old oil filter,
use a touch of the old oil on the new oil filter gasket, screw on the new filter
replace the oil drain plug, pour in the new oil.
back car off ramps - DO NOT Drive FORWARD.  All done.

@LTG - What are your CF golf plans? I want to be swinging a club myself by then
This is the place I'm shooting for, since the Split Rock course is pre-paid now. http://www.mountainlaurelgolfclub.com/index.php
That looks real nice.  I haven't played in so long not even sure where my clubs are.  When are you guys thinking of going?
We usually do Friday morning, before the fest. But we may be able to do Saturday morning instead.
Charlie and I only do the 1 day thing.  Might consider a round on Friday morning if I can get Charlie to be on time to pick me up.  Not asking you to wait up or anything.  The stars would have to align just right.
When can we start taking bets on that?

yes they did, only ate one put the other in the fridge at home.
it's cheaper than buying just one. normally will give the
2nd one away to a homeless person when i get to Penn Station.
something I ate, from last night at Moes or that breakfast didn't sit well with me.
just went back home, till I felt better.

and is the liability reduced, if you have a cash bar?
Not really but it lowers your premium a minor amount.   If you are the "provider" of the booze you are screwed.
never been to a BYOB wedding, seems the safest insurance wise, but will get you weird looks from the invitees.
Don't think it makes any difference.  If you are having an event and people partake (whatever the source) you end up being liable.

For us everything is in Myrtle Beach/Murrells Inlet but son is a member of Caldonia (compliments of his fiance's family business) so we are going to lunch and visit there while enjoying a cigar.  Girls deal is at a catered facility in Murrells Inlet.

At the car dealership, thankfully just an oil change
You'd think you could handle this yourself with all the time you have on your hands now.
GFY! I'd rather have a professional do this sort of stuff.
put the car up on ramps, catch old oil in a pan, take off old oil filter,
use a touch of the old oil on the new oil filter gasket, screw on the new filter
replace the oil drain plug, pour in the new oil.
back car off ramps - DO NOT Drive FORWARD.  All done.
tools needed, socket set or crescent wrench, correct oil filter wrench,
two ramps, used oil tub.  I taught my 14 year old daughter how to do this....
Well, I feel like a failure now
Only just now?  Wow, you really are retarded.  No offense to the mentally challenged, of course.

Damn gubment messing with out time too!
You act almost like this surprises you, and that somewhere in some mythical past there was a time when the government didn't mess with people.

Are you, like, from another planet?
a facebook meme, I saw the other day said it succinctly:
they explained Daylight Saving time to the old Indian (feathers not dot)
his reply: "Only the government would think that cutting a foot off
the top of a blanket, then sewing it onto the bottom,
would result in a longer blanket!"
That's pretty fricken good, hahaha.
No Indian would have been stupid enough to actually say that.

I just noticed that I have 529 unread work emails, since Friday at 4:45 pm.
might want to pay attention to that screen for a few minutes.
what do you think...
I would just do a mass delete if I got that many.
