Business Trip
-------------------------
One of the airlines recently introduced a special half-fare rate for wives accompanying their husbands on business trips.
Anticipating some valuable testimonials, the publicity department of the airline sent out letters to all the wives of businessmen who used the special rates, asking how they enjoyed their trip.
Responses are still pouring in asking, "What trip?"

Doing okay Dave. Had a few ladies check the place out yesterday to see what all I need, one brought a brand new set of dishes that belonged to her daughter, they are going to take me to yard sales and thrift stores to shop. Very quiet here too.
Sounds good, nice to have someone looking after you, trying to keep you out of trouble.
Which seems to be a full-time freakin' job! Morning all
And I hope it's not salary, cause there's a lot of OT available there. Morning Scott.
Ha-ha, right? May be able to take Mondays off but need to be available 24/7 other than that
Hey, that's right, todays Monday, I forgot.

My house is a split level, so the ceilings in my living room and kitchen are probably 15-18 feet high. So yeah, I'm swinging away.

Especially because Charlie has to drop his son off at school first and then head my way. Which is also another reason I now prefer CF on Fridays because otherwise he says he'll be at my house at 8 and gets there around 11. The more I think about it, the more unlikely it is to happen. Probably couldn't get to the course before 11.

This is the place I'm shooting for, since the Split Rock course is pre-paid now. http://www.mountainlaurelgolfclub.com/index.php
That looks real nice. I haven't played in so long not even sure where my clubs are. When are you guys thinking of going?
We usually do Friday morning, before the fest. But we may be able to do Saturday morning instead.
Charlie and I only do the 1 day thing. Might consider a round on Friday morning if I can get Charlie to be on time to pick me up. Not asking you to wait up or anything. The stars would have to align just right.
That sounds like a shitload of stars to me.
Either way, that was a fun journey we took just now.
We're not so eager to enter right at 2:30, so a round of golf starting at 11 isn't out of the question. I'll have to see what he says. This ain't over! LOL!

Speaking of shooting, I have to leave work early to drive to the Sheriff's office and renew my concealed pistol license. So I'm working JWacky hours today. Knocking off promptly at noon. Have an Odyssey for the drive, and lots of black coffee.
Morning RAZ, we can just do that online now.

Morning Fish, Dean & Bean.
Morning TXDave. Gotta love this slow, steady rain we're getting. Slow and steady that lasts a while is better than a fast pounding which is over quickly.
So no IT today?
One showed up, wife brought him to work. Guess she had enough of his lazy azz around the house.
His staying home, got in the way of the substitute she has for him at home.
besides he keeps asking what that buzzing noise is, and why does it screw up the TV reception...

Not really but it lowers your premium a minor amount. If you are the "provider" of the booze you are screwed.

Charlie and I only do the 1 day thing. Might consider a round on Friday morning if I can get Charlie to be on time to pick me up. Not asking you to wait up or anything. The stars would have to align just right.
When can we start taking bets on that?
Yeah I can already see the story developing around this
-
good morning one and all,
dropped the child off at school this morning
stopped for the yogurt and sausage egg mcMuffin & coffee at
McDonalds, then had to run back home...
took the 9:54 train in this morning....
Didn't they have 2 for $3?

@LTG - What are your CF golf plans? I want to be swinging a club myself by then
This is the place I'm shooting for, since the Split Rock course is pre-paid now. http://www.mountainlaurelgolfclub.com/index.php

I think he already cancelled the possibility of betting on this like 5 posts later. Which is longer than I thought the dream would last. ;)

yes they did, only ate one put the other in the fridge at home.
it's cheaper than buying just one. normally will give the
2nd one away to a homeless person when i get to Penn Station.
something I ate, from last night at Moes or that breakfast didn't sit well with me.
just went back home, till I felt better.

Fuk''n COMMIES!!!! :'( Coming down to the wire now on Son's wedding and I find out my Liability Insurance & Umbrella does not cover me if we are holding an event off our property and giving away liquor, beer or wine. Son of a Beach another $250-300 for 6 hours of liability insurance coverage +having to fuk with getting it. >:(
Does that cover you if someone gets sauced at the party and has a head-on collision with a school bus?
and is the liability reduced, if you have a cash bar?
Not really but it lowers your premium a minor amount. If you are the "provider" of the booze you are screwed.
never been to a BYOB wedding, seems the safest insurance wise, but will get you weird looks from the invitees.
Don't think it makes any difference. If you are having an event and people partake (whatever the source) you end up being liable.

I haven't gotten my invite yet.....there will be cigars, yes?
Cigars for the boys a the Caldonia Golf Club while the girls do their bridal luncheon. But that is probably aout it for cigars. Rehearsal party is at the Freewoods Farm in myrtle beach come on down plenty of food, wine and beer.
For my son's wedding, girls had their thing at High Cotton. We just stayed at the Courtyard smoked and drank.

saying I have the same sense of humor as the protagonist(for those that rode the short bus

For us everything is in Myrtle Beach/Murrells Inlet but son is a member of Caldonia (compliments of his fiance's family business) so we are going to lunch and visit there while enjoying a cigar. Girls deal is at a catered facility in Murrells Inlet.

they could not find anything wrong with my battery, alternator, or starter. if I have another problem they said not to charge it, to call them and they will come check it. no charge for today.

So here you go, they finished screwing the gun dealers and whore houses so now it is the Cigar dealers. That is the way communism works.

At the car dealership, thankfully just an oil change
You'd think you could handle this yourself with all the time you have on your hands now.
GFY! I'd rather have a professional do this sort of stuff.
put the car up on ramps, catch old oil in a pan, take off old oil filter,
use a touch of the old oil on the new oil filter gasket, screw on the new filter
replace the oil drain plug, pour in the new oil.
back car off ramps - DO NOT Drive FORWARD. All done.
tools needed, socket set or crescent wrench, correct oil filter wrench,
two ramps, used oil tub. I taught my 14 year old daughter how to do this....
Well, I feel like a failure now
Only just now? Wow, you really are retarded. No offense to the mentally challenged, of course.

You act almost like this surprises you, and that somewhere in some mythical past there was a time when the government didn't mess with people.
Are you, like, from another planet?

Although i seem to have a problem capitalizing the letter "i".
a NRR visualizes sentences and paragraphs in their mind.
a person who reads, to him/herself, and mouths each word, is not one of these folks.

a facebook meme, I saw the other day said it succinctly:
they explained Daylight Saving time to the old Indian (feathers not dot)
his reply: "Only the government would think that cutting a foot off
the top of a blanket, then sewing it onto the bottom,
would result in a longer blanket!"

price doesn't see all that box worthy though
I think the gordo is new. Those aren't bad box prices, of course worthiness is up to individual judgement.
The cigars are pretty darned good IMO but the price is not so much. When they first came out I got a box of robustos on the devil for $40

Rarely (and San Lotano in general) are pretty scarce on the devil. Think AJ is keeping his good stuff close to the vest.

Back when they actually still sometimes had real Jams could pick them up pretty decent on there. I liked them and bought quite a few back then probably got 10 or so left.

I will have to pick a few of those up.

Hey! HEY! It's not Tuesday, dammit. Leave him alone.
The time change fucked me up. Sorry.
Damn gubment messing with out time too!
You act almost like this surprises you, and that somewhere in some mythical past there was a time when the government didn't mess with people.
Are you, like, from another planet?
a facebook meme, I saw the other day said it succinctly:
they explained Daylight Saving time to the old Indian (feathers not dot)
his reply: "Only the government would think that cutting a foot off
the top of a blanket, then sewing it onto the bottom,
would result in a longer blanket!"
That's pretty fricken good, hahaha.
True, but not all tribes are so wise....USAToday article about Arizona not participating in daylight savings....with the exception of the Navajo Nation that does...http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2015/03/08/no-arizona-daylight-saving-time/24619125/

I can't remember the last time I saw them on a jam. They were first released only by CI and then about a year later, they were in full distribution. Seemed strange seeing all the ads at B&Ms for a "new" cigar that I had been smoking for a year. Probably about that time they dropped out of "special" existence at CI

Remember buying some at Tony's local B&M when Brad was doing an event. did get some at the devil early on, before the rest of the cognoscenti caught on to the quality. also grabbed a Jam special, might have even been a box split...
