So Jeb Bush forgot to renew his domain name, https://www.jebbush.com. Guess who bought it?
I bet it wasn't that Canadian liar!  ;)
Don't worry, he's next on the radar!
To be fair, I have to agree with the Donald. When I watch and listen to Cruz, he does have those "polished", professional politician responses. To me, he looks the least trustworthy... not that any of them wouldn't say anything to get the votes. He just doesn't pass the eye test.
Probably a matter of which one fails the tests least badly.  As BD would say, "Ugh!"

Exactly. Pretty sad state given the options. The Dems are hangin' by a thread as well making the wench their best shot, imo. She has a pretty stacked history of lying and taking personal advantage of her office. I think we're screwed either way. I don't see a great leader of people in any of them. Bend over... it is hump day after all.
Don't see any good choices....but the way the Republicans are cannabalizing each other, I see them handing the Dems a third election in a row.  Will also be funny with the BS over stonewalling the Supreme Court nomination....(really thinking they have a chance to make the appointment), a Dem is going to do it anyway.
I'm not convinced. Republicans are angry, so they want the anger manifested among the candidates. That's why Ben Carson and Jeb Bush can't get arrested. They've been running nice-guy campaigns. I don't think Republicans will have a problem coalescing when the time comes.

But Democrats have a real problem. The party is geared for a Clinton nomination, and Bernie's pissing in the swimming pool.

Yeah, but on resumé and experience he's the most qualified candidate in the race from either party. So...I dunno. It's all ugly this time around. I wish Paul Ryan was running.

Morning, muchachos.
He's also head of the Subcommittee on Space, Science and Competitiveness, yet doesn't believe that climate change is a real thing. So yeah, not sure if he's the most qualified of anything.
Uh oh, man made global warming climate change has entered the room.  Time to switch from politics to a less controversial topic.  How about that Pope!
He's a commie!
Boy, howdy.
But he's the pope and doesn't have to accept the realities of humanity and its behavior.  He has no skin in the game.

He's still the most qualified. Princeton, Harvard Law, organized George W's legal team, years in private practice representing huge clients, argued 9 cases before the US Supreme Court, won 5 of them, has written over 70 briefs for the Supreme Court, including the amicus in support of Heller on behalf of 31 states, etc. Hating his positions, opinions, or face is of course anyone's right, but the man knows law and he knows how the government works. Alan Dershowitz, no Republican he, called Cruz "off-the-charts brilliant". None of the other candidates have a judicial or legislative record with that weight.

That doesn't mean I'm gonna vote for him or that I think anyone should, but he's got the credentials.

Unfortunately, most folks don't even look or know of such facts. Obama may have been the least qualified candidate, and he was elected... twice. Sure, not much of a legacy, but still. Sometimes it just boils down to a simplified, "American Idol" style popularity contest.

Wonder what the Mexicans would do if Hillary gets elected, and 2/3 of the population of the US moves to Mexico.  i know I'd contemplate it if she wins.

My argument would be that someone can't really be "off-the-charts-brilliant" if they ignore scientific fact, but facts have very little place in political debate anyhow.
The only "facts" about climate change are that the average temperature is rising and there is more Carbon in the atmosphere than at any time in the past several hundred million years. There are no scientific "facts" that explain why that is, just observations and hypotheses.

Now, the observations seem to support the hypotheses, and you and I look at it and say, "uh, dude, it's the pollution." But there are still some scientists out there that aren't convinced it isn't a natural cycle.

So, I don't think taking a fringe position on climate change outweighs other credentials. Hell we've got astronauts who believe in UFO's.

Oh, hey...well if we're wishing, can I run his campaign?

I'll allow it if you can pass a short questionnaire including thermodynamics and cutting edge alloy composition.

From my perspective, first time there was a newness, novelty and starry eyed optimism about Obama and the Republicans went with a viable John McCain who was torpedoed by being saddled with Momma Grizzly.  Even then Obama didn't win by much.  Second term, not so popular Obama was given a gift with out of touch Romney and Tea Bag Party bait Paul Ryan.  I see nobody rising in the Republican party to change that charity.  I agree, Doc Brown Bernie is giving the annointed Hillary fits....and Bloomberg may be a bigger problem for the Dems just as Trump would be as an independent with the Repubs.  Just a total shitshow.

Yup. Unfortunately, I still have to try to rationally choose who I'm going to vote for, because none of them are popular with me.

I'm voting my guns and my cigars, and my wallet. That disqualifies anyone the Democratic Party is going to put up.

Solid and correct scientific statements.
Also while taking "credit" for causing global warming, I find it equally interesting to follow those that think we can fix it.  Then again, when we made McDonalds do away with styrofoam, we closed up the holes in the ozone layer, so maybe it can happen.

Well, if you see lights in the sky and don't know what they are, wouldn't that, by definition, be a UFO?

To your other point, there are also scientists who believe vaccinating kids causes any number of conditions. Doesn't mean it has any scientific validity.
