We have Blue Crabs here and on the Atlantic side don't think that is what you have over that way so that might be the difference

Dungeness and Red Rock here. I'm thinking you're right, though it seems odd. Crabs are scavengers.

Blue Crabs eat anything that once was meat.  interesting when we lose a person in the bay (Chesapeake) periodically.  just have to hope to find them quickly.....

Respectfully disagree - when too old to make milk they make fast-food joint hamburger patties and those tubes of ground beef at Walmart.
