Also sampled a DuClaw Dirty Little Freak, (Coconut Caramel Chocolate Brown Ale) Tony is still searching for the coconut while the coconut nearly overwhelmed Scott.  Just to show how different tastes are.
Very true.

But did it satisfy your 'curiosity'?  8)
I had had it prior to sharing with these guys.  I would say its a pleasant drink, not quite outstanding.  Got hooked on DuClaw as my daughter lives in Baltimore.  Just as I had to get hooked up with Terrapin in Athens.

So, no reviews on the NEW Southern Tier from the Jersey Herf Club?
Agree with Tony.  Not near as much orange as I was prepared for.  Definitely different from the Choklat, and at 10% can KYA.

We had it Father's day and I liked it as well. There was a little bitterness/hoppiness and astringent taste from the peel. Like you, I thought it was very subtle in the orange... Grand Marnier'ish, but overall I thought it was pretty good. Obviously on the sweet side, but not as much as the Creme Brulee. Which I still have on occasion.
Can't do the Crème Brule.  Just too sweet for me.

For me it was Palmetto Pale Ale and Holy City Pluff Mud in Charleston and Sweetwater with the new GA Inlaws.  I like all of them too.

I don't drink that stuff other than an occasional trial taste.

I think you should go with a porter for that flavor profile.  The GFY can get a little bitter with a stout. Wait... point taken.  =D

Well, at least it's beer, unadulterated by the cake and candy flavors favored by children.

True. I'm put off by the V draw consistency, or lack thereof.  Otherwise a great smoke.
