Morning, boyos. A whole lot of freezing rain overnight means the younger 2 got an unexpected day off school. Double bonus for the youngest, who turns 15 today.
Good morning, Dave. We got an announcement of a delayed opening last night. I look out the window now and it doesn't look all that bad, so I think what a waste.
So what do they do? They double down. I literally just got another call while writing this post that school is closed. It must be a lot worse out there than it seems through the window.
Yeah, freezing rain is a tough one, because looking at it, it doesn't look like anything is wrong. The roads here were pretty decent, since I had to go out and get donuts for her birthday. But when I got there and they didn't have my mobile order and I had to go inside, I was certain I was going to fall because of the ice. In fact, on the way out of the building, I walked on the frozen grass instead of the walkway for a little more traction.
