I have just scheduled a "final" interview with the CIO for one of the positions I have been pursuing for the  last two months. I am also awaiting a call  (possible offer) for another position with a financial institution that I began engaging with 3 months ago. And finally, I am supposed to receive a call back from the hiring manager on an application I just sent out on Friday.

C'mon big bucks, no whammies, no whammies!
That is good news. I chose the job I have now which I narrowed down from  2 to 1 based on pay and health benefits.
Of the three, the job that seems the most fulfilling pays the least. I can almost walk to one of the places, and therefore, I'll have to factor in commute costs. Any way, it's great to have decisions to make. Still no official offers in hand. Been out of the game for 19 weeks and unemployment insurance runs out at 26. [fingers crossed]
Sounds like you'll have options before your insurance runs out. I believe in you.
How did you go 19 weeks with insurance? Did you get a severance?
I know this is personal information you don't have to answer here.

This job search thing seems very feast or famine. I spoke to someone from the local place and it seems the positions they have available are mostly entry level. I also got a call from the financial institution and they passed. And then there was one...

This last one looks very promising. My interview with the CIO is more of a formality. I'm told by an inside source that the offer is already being written. Now I stew for 48 hours or so.

Sounds like you'll have options before your insurance runs out. I believe in you.
How did you go 19 weeks with insurance? Did you get a severance?
I know this is personal information you don't have to answer here.
I'm fine with answering here... I'm flat broke. There was no severance and I've pretty much gone through all of my savings. Luckily, the NJ unemployment insurance pays a heck of a lot better than NY. Still only about a quarter of what I was actually earning but together with my wife's salary and health insurance, we are able to make ends meet.

I can feel a small amount of your pain. Around the same time our OT dried up, my wife had her hours at work cut. They took away her Tuesday through Thursday, but she was able to pick up Sundays. But that still leaves her down 2 shifts. So we've had to watch our pennies as well.

That sucks, sorry to hear it. Best to stay positive. I think it will all work itself out.

Semi-finals for one of my son's soccer teams. Last time, we tied them 1-1. Should be a good one.
