Took the wife and #1 son out last night for their favorite "date." Dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory, shopping at thrift stores, used bookstores, and Guitar Center. That was our idea of a fun Saturday night when Christian was a kid and all the way through high school. Haven't done it in years.

I wouldn't by choice live near NYC. But I admit that I'm envious of your being able to just pop in there for museums and dinner.
