Good morning, LTG. How's the new washer?

It seems to work fine. But after having the old one nearly 17 years, I don't care for it much right now because it's so different. Lol

That makes sense. Change is hard. Is this new one a front load?

No, still a top load. Changing to a front loader would've been waaaay too much change.

I believe that front load is the direction we will be going once we replace our washer/dryer. Kitchen remodel is first, however.

Never trusted front load washers.  More things to go wrong, more problems with water standing in the drum between washes, and as Dave said, too different.

Quite frankly, I don't understand how things can get clean without an agitator. But I guess it is a proven technology and laundromats have been using it for years.

My parents got one when they moved into their new house several years ago and my mom hated it. She quickly went back to one with an agitator.

Most top loaders don't have an agitator anymore either.  Well slight fins in the bottom, but no big post with wings...

The one I got does, I made sure of it. Plus, it's the one that matches the dryer we got last year, so it was an easy decision.

I somehow overlooked that name completely. Yes, I'd have known him. 13.

Terry McAuliffe may not be enemy #1 for gun owners, but he's in the top 10. Jim Webb I've been familiar with since he was Reagan's Navy Secretary. Amber Valleta came to awareness in the movie What Lies Beneath, which was a very weird movie. But God, what eyes she has. Shaughnessy was the guy in the Nanny, which I didn't watch, but he showed up in Mad Men, which I did.
