Just a fun fact, the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts was built with a donation from Robert Howell Brooks, a 1960 graduate of Clemson with a degree in Dairy Science.
After service in the Army, he formed Eastern Foods in 1966 based on the first non-dairy creamer he developed. They later also sold Naturally Fresh salad dressings and sauces.
In 1984, Brooks bought and developed the Hooters restaurant chain.
He died in 2006.
