Man accused of arson, says lasers came from neighbor's house.

A Beverly Hills man who believes lasers were being targeted at his house from a neighbor’s home was arrested last week and charged with arson.

Michael James Casale, 48, told a Citrus County Sheriff’s detective that “two people from New York were out to get him and the residence behind his house has a modem that shoots lasers into the satellites which then shoot into his house,” according to his arrest report.

Casale also said the neighbor was stealing his mail, and he admitted to parking in front of the neighbor’s house and breaking the mailbox.

Casale acknowledged he cut cable leading to the neighbor’s house, stabbed the modem box attached to the house, and climbed a chair to use his lighter to burn what he believed to be a modem inside the roof, the report states. He is also accused of slashing the neighbor’s tires.

He was arrested on Jan. 19 on charges of criminal mischief and arson. Bond was set at $20,000.
Sounds like self defense to me.
Just because he's paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get him.

never too old.

A beer-drinking wife in The Villages was arrested after an alleged attack on her husband of more than 50 years.

Law enforcement was called shortly before midnight Friday to a home in the 600 block of Tarrson Boulevard in the Village of Silver Lake where 76-year-old LaVerne Marian Czarnecki was taken into custody on a charge of domestic battery.

When she was being transported to the Lake County Jail, Czarnecki threatened her husband on three different occasions, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

“When I get out, I’m going to kill my husband,” she said. “You tell my husband he is dead for this when I get home.”

Her husband said she began drinking beer at 7:30 p.m. that evening and finished her sixth beer at about 9:30 p.m., according to the report. She became “combative” and attempted to sink her nails into his skin, the report said.

She was booked at the Lake County Jail without bond due to the violation of a previous no violent contact order from the court.
