Ugh. Stayed up too late. This day is gonna suck.

Morning, muchachos.
You should've pulled a TravellinDave and rolled back over. Morning, DragginRaz.
Already did that once this week. Today I had to suck it up. Grumble, grumble.
Hey Bean and Raz....million miles on a Gold Wing....

Gold Wings aren't motorcycles. They're cars with only two wheels.
Interesting article. Made me think though, why not takeover British Columbia and make it 50 contiguous states?
why not take Mexico and Canada and make one country.
Because we have enough deadbeats and alt-lefts as it is.  Besides, what would Trumpf do with all the money he saves when he doesn't need a wall?
[fingers crossed] Oh boy, I sure hope it's a tax break for the rich!
All tax breaks are for the rich. The poor don't pay taxes. Can't get a bigger tax break than that.
There used to be an in-between.
You do realize that rich people pay, by far, the most taxes?
I think the people that consider themselves rich but are truly middle-class pay, by far, the most taxes. The 1% aren't paying shit. By the way, you and I will never be part of that 1% even if we hit the PowerBall. I'm referring to the big big money.
Well, the 1% actually are paying, but we won't go there because that turns into a conspiracy-theory debate.

The fact remains that people with an AGI of $250,000 or greater pay 51% of all tax revenue. The class I'm in ($100k-$199k) pay 21.9% of all tax revenue.

Source: Pew
I agree with your numbers. I also believe that $250,000 isn't all that much anymore. The conspiracy theory is what I'm referring to and no one will ever convince me otherwise. After all, isn't it the reason our president won't show his tax return?
I don't know, sounds like #fakenews to me.

I wouldn't pretend to know why he won't show his returns. I don't care. I can pretty much bet it will show that he avoids all the taxes he possibly can, which will start an onslaught of bullshit from the media and liberal politicians about "fair share." And I'll have to listen to Nancy Pelosi (who gets her millions from crooked government deals with her husband) do a lot of that whining. If Donald Trump avoids taxes, good for him. I avoid all the taxes I can possibly avoid.

The fact remains, regardless how much $250k buys anymore, the people who make that much or more are paying 51% of the tax revenues - actually 51.6%.  And there are a lot fewer of those people in this country than people making below that. So the notion that the "rich", whatever that means, are not paying their share is ludicrous.

You might be right, maybe the uber-rich should pay more. I dunno. What I do know is that there aren't enough of them to tax to make a dent on the federal debt. Bill Gates has $70+ billion dollars, on a good day. That is chicken feed compared to a debt of $22 Trillion. You could seize all the assets of every billionaire in this country and it wouldn't even make an interest payment. That's why Democrat "fair share" talking points are so vile. It's a lie. They know it's a lie. But people who don't know how taxation works in this country buy it.

I'm not right about anything. But I do believe the .01% (the top 1% of the 1%) control 90% of the wealth in this country. It's more people than you'd think. But alas, it's a moot point.

That may or may not be. No real way to know. But when Democrats talk about taxing "millionaires and billionaires", what they mean is anyone making more than $250k per year, and they're talking about increasing the capital gains tax.  Ultimately, that means all of us, because those people are managing our retirement accounts, and financing our mortgages, and making the stuff we buy - including our cigars. And all of that gets passed right on down the chain. You tax the rich, and everybody gets it in the ass. That's income taxes for you.

Wardens office closes at 3:00 today and is closed Monday because of the storm, makes sense for the Houston office but they have not a clue why they included the Austin office.  But nice for her!

This is a nice buy for anyone that might enjoy some giant perfecto smokes.  But, like most recent CI/Sister deals it does not appear to include FS.
