My wife and I went to a coin show a couple of months ago. I don't know if this is a good idea or not...? I keep thinking about when I was a kid, all the coins were silver. I could have went to the bank and got as many coins at I could afford. Today the government mint, and private providers are making 1 oz. and up, silver coins, rounds, and bars. Even thou I feel too old to invest in silver, I'm thinking, "rather than buying my grandkids those extra $20 and $40 toys that won't last long, maybe I should get them a 1 or 2 oz. coin for about the same price. 50 to 65 years from now when they retire, maybe they will be worth something. I guess I'm just tired of throwing my money away for a doll or truck that will just get given away or tossed... Anyway, just a though ...
