Speaking of things from a couple of days ago... Remember I was supposed to install a new slop sink in the basement?

On Monday, my plumber came to install a new hot water cutoff valve behind where the new sink was to be installed.

All week I meant to get to it but there was just too much else going on. I finally got to it today and it took me so much longer than I'd planned. Isn't that always the case?
If it didn't make you take two additional trips back to Home Depot, consider it a win.
* Or a trip to the ER...

But at least it got done, right?
Of course, it didn't help that the instructions didn't say anything about having to take the faucet aerator off in order to remove this tiny disk that kept the water from flowing. For about 90 minutes I ran around all over the house trying to figure out which valve was shut off. Everything was opened but not a single drop of water would come out of the new faucet. WTF?!?

Also, I connected everything properly but hot water came out when I opened the cold and vice versa. They mislabeled the connectors so I wound up having to switch them. Then of course there was a small leak on the old drain pipe and I wound up replacing that too. Sheesh. Anyhoo, yes it's all done now.

Well, it looks very nice and shiny. And it sounds like the work put into it was on par with most home improvement projects that originally sounded simple. Lol

Both valid points.
