I've been watching the Famous Auction this past week on their newly updated screwed up website.
I picked up:
1 La Floridita Limited Toro Single - $2.00 Just some thing I wanted to try.
1 R Y J Reserva Real Toro Single - $4.00 I haven't had any RYJ's, so again, just some thing to try.
1 Acid Subculture Progeny 10 Pk - $26.00 - I know, YIKES another ACID... :)
1 Perdomo Lot 23 Robusto 5 Pack - $13.00 These need about 4 or 5 months of humidor time before they'll mellow out.
1 House Of Capulet Robusto Single - $3.00 Again, just some thing to try.
$54.00 Total for 18 cigars.

I had the grandkids over a few days ago. My 4 year old grandson disappeared, so I thought I'd better check on him. He was in the bathroom for some #2 time. I asked him if he wanted some thing to read as he passed the time. I have some cigar catalogs, "Are you into cigars...?" He said, "no...!" I have a Rolling Stone magazine, "Are you into music...?" Again, another no...! Well, I have some new car brochures here from when we were looking at new cars, "Are you into cars...?" In an excited voice he said, "Yes pawpa, I'll take the car brochures...!" God, 4 year olds crack me up...! :) I may have to buy him a Hot Rod Magazine and see what happens.... haha.

That time change has me all screwed up. I normally get up around 8:30am, and maybe 9:00am, but now it's 10:00 and 10:30 am.... I guess I'm going to have to set an alarm so I can get back on track...

Agreed. Sam Leccia is trying to get back out from under General Cigars so that his brand doesn't become just another ho hum stick, similar to what happened to Camacho.

Yeah, put on huge fancy labels to cover the $hitty tobacco.
Once the FDA rules go into action there will be no more small cigar rollers left, no way they can stay in business unless there is some kind of relief for small rollers which is doubtful.

CI Ugly Christmas Sweatshirt SALE
$17.77 with sizes up to 3XL!
It’s that time of year again at Camp CI, and the usual holiday hijinks are in high-order…swilling egg nog from our booze luge, impromptu caroling at co-workers cubicles, stuffing our faces with any and all cookies crossing our path, hanging mistletoe in creative places, and the legendary CI ugly Christmas shirt contest.
Now you, CI Nation, can join in the fun by adding the delightfully tacky and hilariously heinous CI Ugly Christmas Sweatshirt to your cart now. Wear this sweater to your office party, family gatherings, and sport it at your local cigar lounge or bar to show your CI pride to those competition shopping fools who’d rather pay more for less. We only received a limited number of this soon to be collector’s item, so buy one for you, one for a gift, and one for the poor soul who has not yet basked in CI’s glory.

Afternoon men, taking a blood test in the near future for a life insurance policy. Is anybody familiar with the amount of time it takes for cigars to clear your system for a clean test? I've seen anywhere from 3-4 days up to 3 weeks

Quick search and 10 days is the max I see, if they test for a drug other than nicotine, which stays in your blood stream longer.

Also, avoid cabbage, almonds, mustard, and broccoli, because they have a chemical in them which can provide a false positive.

Varies on the person and the type of test. Nicotine is usually a swab and is generally only good for 48 hrs. Blood test can detect at lower levels = about 5 days.

Nica Rustica El Brujito Maduro Toro - I don't know a damn thing about them.... I was nosing around on Famous Auction, and there are ten 10 packs that will end auctioning at 10:00pm Sunday night. If you check the past recent auctions, they've sold for $28 to $35 + of course the $5.99 shipping. If I were interested, in which I'm not, I'd put a bid in for $28 on Sunday and let it ride. But before I'd place my bid, I would also consolidate my shipping to ship on Friday (or what ever is the latest date), just incase there may be some thing else I might want later in the week. That way the total shipping for what ever I bought between Sunday and Friday would only be the $5.99.
I just thought I'd toss that out there incase it helps, hinders, or enables some one... :)
-
That it's for me.... Good night all...!
