I know a little bit about a lot of things, bicycle tires are simple, if I remember correctly when I was 13.

Morning Ladies.

Long day ahead and slept in a bit this morning.  It is Ft Worth again this week but not leaving my office until after lunch as I got to take the boss with me.  2.5 days of meeting from 8-5 this week, how much fun can that be?  Then I get back here on Thursday evening and got to make a fast trip over to Louisiana on Saturday and return on Sunday.  Shit, I am about as retired as Dean.

Don't get caught without your Tub's full!

Cigar Smoking Machine Sought by FDA

As the cigar industry awaits just what kind of regulation it will be facing from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), many have wondered just how the agency will be able to process the thousands of requests for product approval that will flood its office. It appears we have an answer. Earlier this week, a request was made by the FDA to purchase a “cigar smoking machine with CO analyzer,” which published on the Federal Business Opportunities website. Specifically, the FDA is seeking to purchase a Cerulean SM410CV, a machine capable of smoking and analyzing ten cigars that measure up to 200 mm in length and 22.5 mm in diameter, roughly a 7 7/8 x 56 cigar. According to the notice, FDA is looking for a machine that will be able to “simulate human cigar smoking under a variety of conditions and to collect smoke residues for further regulatory chemical analysis,” while helping increase the lab’s capabilities to analyze cigar smoke products. Given that FDA is specifically looking at carbon monoxide in cigar smoke, it could provide some insight as to a standard that manufacturers will have to adhere to once an announcement regarding premium cigar regulation is announced.

If there's a bright side to all this, maybe this means all these huge RG cigars will be going away? Lol

Promotion?
It's a super long story, here's the short of it.
I was promoted at current position (just verbally, no paperwork signed), but in the mean time a position was posted for a company I've always wanted to work at (for work culture and stability reasons).
I apply for job that I'm over qualified for, and after a few rounds of interviews they ask me what it would take to get me.
I throw out my numbers and give them an idea of the personnel needed and how I would want to lead a team.
They give me damn near everything I ask for, new title, mgmt, a team, etc - so I just resigned from my current position this morning.

Johnny Manziel spotted partying after case goes to grand jury

Now, the troubled Cleveland Browns quarterback - whose employment isn't expected to last beyond next week - has generated more attention for himself.

TMZ acquired video of Manziel chugging Champagne at a Miami nightclub Thursday night, hours after Dallas officials said his domestic violence case was going to a grand jury.

According to TMZ, Manziel was spotted at the Story nightclub in Miami. Apparently trying to disguise himself with a big hat and sunglasses indoors, the former Heisman Trophy winner from Texas A&M is seen drinking Champagne straight out of the bottle.

No one ever accused him of having any common sense now, did they.
Johnny Wino.
True, this. Afternoon, Mikey.
Evening six-gun Raz.

You're righter than you know. This is the sixth handgun in my current accumulation.

I owned five earlier handguns, all of which were sold. But in 1995 I decided I'd never sell a weapon again. So this is the sixth handgun purchased since then.

My younger brother is going to return my first handgun (A Ruger Mark II Target) to me, if he can ever find where in his house he stored it. Then I'll be seven-gun Raz. ;-)

Six six shooters and a semi-auto?  My first pistole was the original Ruger Standard .22.  Sold it and much later wound up getting a 50th Anniv. Model for old time's sake.

As far has handguns go, I've got 2 single-action revolvers (.22 and .45 LC) and four semi-autos (380, 9mm, .40, and .45 ACP).

Those Ruger .22 autos are just a classic line.

Bill Ruger knew what he was doing.  10/22 is another classic.

Yessir. And I still don't own one, dammit. I keep buying large bore weapons. Determined to get a 10/22 before end of year.

Wow. What a day. Only got home a few minutes ago. Not the way I envisioned taking advantage of my "extra" day.

Howdy, Mike. I'm hoping it isn't indicative of the rest of the week.

Just get all the crap done early in the week so the rest of the week ought to be a piece of cake.
