I luv these stories where Granny pulls out a heater and wins!!!

A 66-year-old woman from Morgan County, Indiana, won a scuffle with a robber who entered her home on Wednesday afternoon after she reached for her handgun and scared him away.Karen Long, 66, told local deputies that she was in her home with her sick 7-year-old nephew when she saw a masked man walking towards her front door, according to WXIN-TV. Acting quickly, Long lunged for her door in an attempt to lock it, but she was too late."He yanked it out of my hand and he bulldogged me in," Long told WXIN. "He shoved me, I stumbled and fell there, and then he started down the hall. My little nephew is there and that's when I attacked him. I jumped on his back, he and I went down to the floor again."As the struggle ensued between Long and the robber, she said that she never backed down and refused to let her age get in the way."I am 66, a lot of people consider that elderly but that's the new 40," Long said, WXIN reported. "I don't believe in being a victim."While Long and the man wrestled on the floor, she said that she could hear her nephew crying."[The robber] kept saying 'Don't look at me, don't look at me. Just give me your money and don't look at me and you won't get hurt,'" Long said. When the masked man attempted to tie her to a table, Long knew she needed to do something more to protect her home, her nephew and herself from the intruder. That's when she remembered her handgun."I had my gun up there and I reached for it and he heard me rack it," Long told WXIN. "I was saying a few choice words at him, let me tell you. I did tell him, 'you picked the wrong house buddy.'"The robber took off seconds after she grabbed her gun. Although she sustained some bruising, Long told WXIN that she and her nephew are both fine, adding that she had one final message for the robber."They come back to this house they will not walk away," Long threatened.Although the masked intruder made off with some small belongings, Long believes that with the help of her community and a $1,000 reward for any leads, the police will catch him and the robber will be brought to justice soon

Would have been a better story if she had dropped him!

Pumping a shotgun is quick and can be done from the firing position but racking the auto-pistol is not a fast operation, especially for most females and older folks as it requires a good bit of hand strength using a cumbersome motion.

And so, just like that, with a sweeping victory in South Carolina, Sanders’ Socialism crawls back into its cage and crony capitalism is alive and well.

Since 2013 Hillary’s grand total is slightly less: $21.7 million for 92 private appearances.

Nice to have a $10 million/year side business with lobbyist while employed by the federal government, and they did not mention the $20-30 million brown paper bag payments Bill picked up for her during the time.

Time to walk the dogs.  Tony And Dean, make sure to swish the toilets, sweep up, turn out the lights and lock the doors when you leave.
hey, I did the toilets yesterday!!!!
Don't worry Deano, we've got money in the budget for a custodian.
gee, thanks Tony. that makes me feel better.

I had to read that again because I thought you said, "wedding" and not "weeding". Sheesh.

Sounds like a lovely day. Enjoy.

It's warming up here a bit so I'm hoping to enjoy some outdoors time too. Snow expected at the end of the week so we need to take advantage.
forgot, we are taking clothes to a nursing home donated from the local Women's Club.

busy Sunday for me.
Should be a fun day at the nursing home with the new supply of Victoria's Secret apparel.
LMFAO!!!!👍

CLE 11/18's mashing for $25, I slipped it to them if they don't cancel the order as they tried to do before.  Added a 5'r of MF Lancero's that were $5 less than their usual price and got the CATSRULE discount on everything.

Just giving Tex a hard time.  Always interesting whether the Monster lists something as sold out versus just dropping it from the list.  Howdy Antnee.

I had a bike but gave it to my son because I needed one for the more mature generation, AKA an old folks bike.  Warden got one too and she is quite proud of it.

I bought one for my warden almost 20 years ago, before we got married. I'm pretty sure she only used it once. Perhaps twice, but I doubt it.

Yep. Rubber boots and gloves. I have a buddy in the pool plastering business who lent me the boots, pump and advice on the way to do it.  A good breeze is helpful with the acis fumes.
