Up into the 40s for us today and tomorrow. Most of our snow has melted, and they're even saying rain tomorrow.

Unless all your drains are covered over....and you have over a foot of snow on roofs that will act like a sponge and become 10X heavier with rain.... :o

You have to be tough a dumbass to live in the North-East, if you are very smart you move to places like Texas where there is lower unemployment, no state income tax and the weather is reasonably comfortable most of the year.  ;D
That is why the 3 fastest growing large metro areas in the U.S. are in Texas and the fastest growing small and mid sized areas are also in Texas and most of that growth is from the North-East and the West coast.

Made some corrections for you Fish.

Kids off school?
Yes, closed. We (Whitehouse Station) got the largest snowfall in the state
Well, almost all my snow has melted, if that makes you feel better. ;)
And all our snow was what we saw on TV.
And that was making me cold so I turned it off ;)
You have to be tough a dumbass to live in the North-East, if you are very smart you move to places like Texas where there is lower unemployment, no state income tax and the weather is reasonably comfortable most of the year.  ;D
That is why the 3 fastest growing large metro areas in the U.S. are in Texas and the fastest growing small and mid sized areas are also in Texas.
Yes, the commie take over is a bit ahead of schedule.
Can't disagree with that, about all I can add is that we are getting the smarter commies for what that might be worth.
True, could be worse, think of what Florida is getting!  ;D

Made some corrections for you Fish.
So what you're saying is there are tons more dumbasses in Texas and that number is increasing by the second?
Ahh no, looks to me like the dumasses are staying in the North-East and the smart ones are leaving.......  and if you don't like that scenario you can thank Mr. Fish.

Yesterdays Famous Email offer for Extreme Price Cust Under $49.99 had some 5/pak LFD Chisel Samplers for $39.  You can get the $23 LdLA's off the current Mash and add 1 to the sampler(s) and Catsrule will get you the 17% off along with the Mash FS.  Not a bad deal for some nice cigars.

I actually figgered it out yesterday afternoon but had to wait to see if there was a decent Mash item to use and the old reliable LdLA's were at the lower price today making things all work out nicely.  Bought 2 packs of the Chisels and 1 of the LDLA's.

Good deal but not a Room 101 connie guy.

They were actually cheaper than that by the box at a couple of places recently until they all sold out.

Lawyer will have that taken care of quickly.   City of Austin only has a 46% conviction rate (2014 average and no better now) which means 46% of those getting dui's could not afford a good lawyer.

Who's fault is another suckass CPage?
And why do they have a pre-teenage girl on the cigar picture selling cigars?  Run out of supermodels of a legal age?
Is that one of the Brady Bunch girls? Even so, still don't get it.
Monty, Monty, Monty  instead of Marsha, Marsha, Marsha....
Damn it, made me google the f'n Brady Bunch.  That's Jan (maybe).  What, did she called out her sister's name three times on the show a lot?  Man, that's both obscure and lame.
she was pissed that Marsh got most of the attention, Hence the one episode where she says Marsha! Marsha! Marsha!  the snickers commercial where Steve Buscemi plays Jan on the stairs, and saying Marcia, Marcia, Marcia is funny!

The arresting officer wrote in an arrest affidavit that Young smelled strongly of alcohol. He also wrote that Young’s balance was swaying and unsure and that he showed the same symptoms of intoxication while walking. Young was not cooperative with the officer but remained polite, the affidavit said.

Young admitted to drinking three or four bottles of beer at the W Austin hotel before driving. When asked, Young said he did not know what time it was before guessing that it was around 2:30 a.m. It was 11:23 p.m., the officer wrote.

Former Longhorn Vince Young arrested for DWI, cited on I-35 North

Young stumbled during a field sobriety test known as the “walk and turn,” the affidavit said. After he stumbled, he refused to perform any other field sobriety tests and did not provide a breath or blood sample to determine his blood alcohol content, the affidavit said.

Young’s speech was slurred and thick-tongued and he mumbled, the affidavit said.

The officer said Young’s clothing were mussed and his eyes were glassy. Young laughed at one point, which the officer found odd, the affidavit said.

It was 6 on both when I bought mine but I checked the sell page and it was still 6.  Typical Famous......

Probably would have sold out but as they typically do they had a pile of crap a mile long and a good cigar or two hidden in the middle, also had some MF's in there but they were not a great deal.

What Famous actually does is when you use a discount code they send you a note later that they don't have the cigars and your order does not meet the minimum for your code now so we are shipping the balance of your order at the regular price.

Home with a CyB toro lit, not the best of the CyB line but I Ned to smoke them up and be done with them.  75 degrees out, damn fine January day.

Put some years on this cigar and it's a fine smoke.
Hi Oy.  6 months does wonders for it too.
good afternoon boyz, I agree, for the price it was excellent. I've had them with a few months, but this was in the six year range, loads of flavor great draw, just perfect.

Been working on a box of Gran Habano Azteca Aquila.  Years in the aging more subtle flavors with increase in complexity almost a whole nuther seegar.  Same with some La Herencia Cubana Oscuro Fuente. The cellophane is almost orange.

Didn't set out to age them as long as I have.  But you know the older cigars get shuffled to the back.  Trying to get to the older stuff but every new purchase just moves them further back or down to the bottom of the storage.  Keep going on a buying hiatus but we all know how that goes.

Ironically, I had one of those Cuban San Cristobals on the way home tonight. My brother-in-law had brought me two from Mexico. The first one didn't draw for shit.  The one I smoked today was ok but burned crappy and had meh flavors, at best. I wouldn't spend that kind of money. But maybe that's just me.

I'm with Tony.  Generalizing, but priced due to origin only.  Taste is meh and sticks are plugged. It will be interesting when the embargo is lifted and the cachet gives way to true value.

Read a prediction that the impact of lifting the embargo will be in the market for everyday cigars.

In what way?  Price cuts due to the new (legal) competition?

Price/quality for every day smokes particularly machine made.  What the everyday Jose smokes.  What is sold the most on today's Cuban market.

I've only ever really enjoyed the Saint Luis Rey that KC has shared with me. I think I may still have a couple.

I've smoked many a Monte #2, some Hoyos that made Aficionado's top 5 last year, and a bunch of others but they generally just don't agree with my palate.

I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.
