Brrrrr! It's getting colder out there. And I don't think it's just the cold shoulder I'm getting from some of my fellow banterers. Join in this discussion and perhaps learn something about cigars along the way. Warning: don't proceed if you have thin skin but don't be afraid to post either. If you can accept all that, light a cigar, pour your favorite libation, and welcome aboard!

Old Duck
-------------------------

A man took his old duck to the Doctor, concerned because the
duck  wouldn't eat.

The Doctor explained to the man that as ducks age their
upper  bills grow down over their lower bills and make it
difficult for  the animal to pick up it's food.

"What you need to do is gently file the upper bill down even
with  the lower bill. But you must be extra careful because
the duck's  nostrils are located in the upper bill and if
you file down too  far, when the duck takes a drink of water
it'll drown."

The man goes about his business and about a week later the
Doctor  runs into his patient.

"Well, how is that duck of yours?" the Doctor inquires.

"He's dead." declared the heartbroken man.

"I told you not to file his upper bill down too far! He took
a  drink of water and drowned didn't he?" insisted the
Doctor.

"No." lamented the man. "I think he was dead before I took
him  out of the vise."

A girl probably 30 years old and not even attractive to me (Dean Material ;)) moved in across the street a few months ago and there are 3 different men that drop by and say spend the night there (one at a time) about once every week or two and while there they mow the yard, fix crap and take care of the various household chores.  One this weekend put up all her Christmas lights a few weeks ago and is taking them all down this weekend.  Amazing!

Simple Solution - Figure it out later!

Clemson Fans are getting ready to see the Tigers face off against the Crimson Tide in the 2016 College Football Playoff Championship, but that comes with a price.

"It's one of those things where it's a once in a lifetime thing, so I'll put it on a credit card and figure out a way to pay it off a little later," says Clemson alum, David Whitley.

The good news is there's still time for you to get tickets but it's going to cost you. The cheapest tickets are going for $600,  but if you're looking for a better view expect to pay up to $7,500.

P.O.S. NO'gunner will have a live town hall focusing on unconstitutional gun control on CNN on Thursday at 8 p.m. Eastern.

NO'Gunner and CNN's Commie Anderson Cooper will appear on the program titled "Confiscate Guns in America" and take questions from a staged phony live audience, according to CNN.

NO'gunner plans to meet with his puppet, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, on Monday to discuss the issue and is expected to announce another illegal executive action to expand background checks on gun sales.

The town hall will be held on the fifth anniversary of the shooting of former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords during a public appearance in which six people were killed and 13 wounded.

Just lit a Macanudo Hampton Court Tubo Maduro Corona that is probably older than CG.  Pretty damn tasty.
That cigar was so good I will have to watch for a box deal on them, nice smaller smoke at 5.5 X 42.
Really? Used to smoke them way back in the day, will have to seek one out and try

Just got back from walking Nacho with a La Bomba Napalm, tasty smoke. Trying to get mentally prepared for a return to work after 11 days

Exactly where this one came from, probably been in the humi 10-12 years or more but it was very good.  Never know though new one might be a totally different cigar.

Not quite. Real close, but have to order a towel bar, and the warden still wants crown molding on top of the cabinets. A PITA which I've been putting off.

The warden expanded it into the 1/2 bath downstairs.  But you know how it goes, can't make a move with getting approval on every little thing. Got company coming in a week, so now the push is on.

Thankfully not required on these. But the cabinets are not built square, so I'm really not looking forward to making it look right.

Right, usually have to add some 5/4 spruce to the top of the cabinets, attaching through the top style

I cut some 2x4 pieces from what I have on hand for that purpose.  We'll see, might be too big.  3, 2, 1.....

2x4 is pretty heavy but just build the frame on the ground then attach molding from the rear so no holes to fill and set the entire assembly in place is the easiest way.

Put on your cussing hat and go for it!  Not that hard if you do it all on the bench and make it fit then attach the crown and set it in place.  I would not attempt it with 2x4's though.  They would hurt bad when the warden does not like it and whacks you.

House cleaning for the Cleveland Browns!

The Cleveland Browns fired head coach Mike Pettine following the conclusion of a 3-13 season.

General manager Ray Farmer was also fired in what is apparently a complete rebuilding of the Browns' football operations.

Several ways to deal with it but best way would depend on how the top of the cabinets are built.  Cheapo Beano should have bought better cabinets ;D

Ahhh, crown molding. That will test a man
Indeed.  Wall cabinets aren't really designed for it, either.
Thats basically the opposite of what I would do but have at it! Lol
LOL there is always more than one way that is just the way I have seen it done and seems easier to fit things up right. And
Well if that's the way he decides I would take some cardboard and lay it on top of the cabs and trace a template, this way you have a change to combat the squareness issues
Several ways to deal with it but best way would depend on how the top of the cabinets are built.  Cheapo Beano should have bought better cabinets ;D
Square ones cost extra, cutting into an already cheapo cigar budget 😄

Bean has no authority on that project, he is nothing more than unpaid common labor.

Afternoon boys. Really pleasant out today. MoW LD lit, with water.  Taking a break from the f'n bathroom project.
Afternoon Bean, I thought you were finished with that project.
Not quite. Real close, but have to order a towel bar, and the warden still wants crown molding on top of the cabinets. A PITA which I've been putting off.

The real problem is we didn't hire somebody else to do it. Cheapy cheapo mistake.

I'm going to be pretty busy while I'm here, but I think I should at least try to go to Casa Fuente. Probly end up spending a stupid amount of money for a stick and a drink, but maybe they'll have something special. This could be the last time I get to haunt the strip. What the hell.

Well since I'm on pretty much a reverse schedule here, I guess it's time for bed. Gotta get up and head to work before the casino rats start their march back to bed. Maybe things will get crazy later on this week. G'nite folks!
