Beer
-------------------------
After the North American Beer Festival, all the brewery presidents decided to go out for a beer.
The guy from Corona sits down and says, "Hey Señor, I would like the world’s best beer, a Corona."
The bartender dusts off a bottle from the shelf and gives it to him.
The guy from Budweiser says, "I’d like the best beer in the world, give me ‘The King of Beers,’ a Budweiser."
The bartender gives him one.
The guy from Coors says, "I’d like the only beer made with Rocky Mountain spring water, give me a Coors." He gets it.
The guy from Molson sits down and says, "Give me a Coke."
The bartender is a little taken aback, but gives him what he ordered.
The other brewery presidents look over at him and ask, "Why aren’t you drinking a Molson’s?"
The Molson president replies, "Well, I figured if you guys aren’t drinking beer, neither would I."

Nice! Definitely my go-to seasonal from them. Always enjoy it. Little spendy though. I recall 4-pks going for $13 or so.
They will also have a limited release based on this wake n bake. I believe it will be Cinnamon roll'd (least year was French toast'd). Just some subtle notes added. Pretty hard to get. Usually have the BIL save me one. Only comes as a 22oz. bomber.

I actually stumbled across it on tap last weekend and bought 2 4-packs since. $11.99 is a good price and yes, goes up to $15

The other that releases with this is the Moo-Hoo Milk stout... Good as far as milk stout's can go, but they always seem a little thin to me. The Wakenbake always provides full flavors.
-
Went buying some of the Antipasto fixings for Thanksgiving(turkey and stuffing are just an after thought and served as the 4th course, in an Italian household!), could not find the cheese with the butter inside it(Manteche). I can say that now, since i googled "cheese with the butter inside". They didn't have it at Corrados(they were out), and when I asked at the cheese section of the local ShopRite, they had never heard of it, and wanted to know, what it was called. I told them I just ask for the cheese with the butter inside..... I don't think they believed me.

Exactly my thoughts, not a milk stout fan, ABV needs to approach 10% for me. The W-N-B is 9.4

Grab-A-Gun is ok and has fair deals but because they are in TX you get screwed with sales taxes, same with Lambo's. Transfer is $15 at Central TX Gunworks for CHL holders. I will look around and see if any better deals on that without shipping and sales tax.

I'm confused. I'm not against handguns but I don't know much about them. seems to me though, that a 40mm pistol would be pretty cumbersome. I remember something in WW2 called a 20mm cannon they used on some aircraft. if cannon shells come in 20 mm, then we have 40mm handguns? should the 40mm Mark mentions be a .40cal vs mm? or did I just miss a gun joke?

Monday GFY back to you! Morning Bean

Looks like Bean was going to answer this... but .40 cal is the inch equivalent. It's actually @ 10mm

You're right, 40 mm is incorrect. It's 0.40 inches, or 40 caliber, which is closer to 10 mm. I was mixing mm and calibers. F'kn gun talk, amiright?

Yeah, had to check my facts. After a while talking 9mm vs 380 vs 40 vs 45 you tend to drop the units.

Thanks Bean, wasn't trying to be a gun weenie, but I haven't messed with handguns much. hunted with rifles and shotguns. figured 40mm would be pretty big, but hey, i hear they make a 50 cal handgun... i shot a BAR 30 cal once and had bruises for 2 weeks afterwards. can't imagine how you can hold and accurately shoot a 50 cal handgun. wouldn't mind trying once though.

45's start getting heavy and a bit bulky, but 9mm, 38 and 40 are all pretty comfortable guns for handling, even conceal.

I remember something in WW2 called a 20mm cannon they used on some aircraft. if cannon shells come in 20 mm, then we have 40mm handguns? should the 40mm Mark mentions be a .40cal vs mm? or did I just miss a gun joke?
You're right, 40 mm is incorrect. It's 0.40 inches, or 40 caliber, which is closer to 10 mm. I was mixing mm and calibers. F'kn gun talk, amiright?
Thanks Bean, wasn't trying to be a gun weenie, but I haven't messed with handguns much. hunted with rifles and shotguns. figured 40mm would be pretty big, but hey, i hear they make a 50 cal handgun... i shot a BAR 30 cal once and had bruises for 2 weeks afterwards. can't imagine how you can hold and accurately shoot a 50 cal handgun. wouldn't mind trying once though.
The Desert Eagle 50 A/E? It's .50 cal all right, but obviously not the rifle (or machine gun) load. It's a well designed gun, well balanced, heavy, but not punishing to shoot. The weight and the design of the action absorb a lot of the recoil. I'd love to own one, just too many guns ahead of it on my priority list. I don't frequently need to stop car bombers wearing body armor.

Finish the thought Tex...
The .40 caliber is a shortened version of the 10mm round. Same bullet, shorter case, less powder. Still a potent round, but more manageable than a 10mm.

No, but, generally speaking, these loads take significant practice to handle well. I had to put 1000 rounds through the Glock 22 to merely become competent with it. It was my first .40 and my first polymer weapon. So took some time to learn to manage the trigger pull and its tendency to twist on recoil - which is to say, to overcome bad habits that the 9mm and the 1911 forgive. ;-)

Ballistics is just a bunch of numbers if you can hit what you're aiming for. Find something that is comfortable to carry and comfortable to shoot.

I can fully agree with 3 out of the 4 but ballistics/bullet characteristics are very important also even if the 4th item on your list. Bullets that don't perform right are a real issue even with great accuracy which is a definite factor of the other two things you listed. Also accuracy and ballistics are heavily influenced by small carry guns.

Sure don't agree with that, a Glock is about as plain ugly as they get and personally I luv um for their ultra reliable functionality.

Took me awhile to get used to the Glock and it's lack of a hammer... even though it's still 'technically' close to double action.

I'm off to parent/teacher conferences. I'll see yuz later. Go Bills!
Maybe one or two of those teachers is hot. Something else you can hope for, I guess.
I wouldn't fuck either of 'em with Dean's dick. Just sayin'.
Sheesh, sounds like a red letter day for The Mayor. Tomorrow will be better....we hope.

LMAO, they must be REALLY bad if they don't reach the DAWG minimum quality.
I'm sure they were hot 35 years ago. Can you say, long in the tooth? Come to think of it, I'm not so sure.

I smoked an AVO Syncro Nicaraguan boxpressed short robusto on the way home today. I'm not a huge AVO fan to begin with and this wasn't an exception. It had lots of espresso and dark dry cocoa notes, which I usually like, but I just found it to be meh and not very smooth on the retrohale. This particular cigar had rested in my humidor for about 6 weeks.

Six weeks shoulda gotten it past the meh stage.

Agreed. Although I'm not sure I'll get a chance to follow either.

How about the Bills holding their own against the undefeated Pats?

Speaking of scorcher, I'm sure you've seen CI's email, Tuesday 2-fer advance notice with the "scorching" upgrade. Sheesh, I guess they've noticed the new competition from the old CI guys.
