Mommy, How Old Are You?
-------------------------

Little Jenny walked into the kitchen one day and looked up at her mother, who was busy cooking dinner. "Mommy, how old are you?" she asked.

"Now dear," said her mother, "You should never ask a woman what her age is."

"Why not?" demanded Jenny.

"Because it isn't polite. You'll understand better when you grow up."

Jenny thought about it for a moment, then piped up, "Mommy, how much do you weigh?"

"Jenny," said her mother, "That's not a question you ask people."

"Why not?" demanded Jenny.

"Because it's not polite to ask grown-ups about how much they weigh. You'll understand some day."

"Mommy," Jenny asked, "Why did you and Daddy get divorced?"

"Darling," her mother replied with a sigh, "That's something that's still very painful for Mommy, and I really can't talk about it now. I'll explain when you are a little older."

The next day, Jenny told a friend at school about the conversation with her mother. The other little girl explained to her, "All you have to do is get a look at your mom's driver's license. It has all the information about any grown-up you want on it."

So little Jenny sneaked a peek in her mother's purse when she got home, and looked over her license, examining it carefully. That evening, she went back into the kitchen and announced, "I know how old you are, Mommy, You are 36!"

Her mother looked down at her, surprised. "And I know how much you weigh!" said Jenny. "You weigh 135 pounds." "Jenny, where did you learn this?", her mother asked. Jenny just smiled and continued, "And, I know why you and Daddy got a divorce." Her mother just gasped and asked, "Why?"

Jenny replied, "Because you got an F in sex!"

Hah, she is taking good care of me and mostly staying off my nerves.  She likes to watch football too so does not object to that but I will sit out on the patio to watch it until it gets too hot.

Not much pain at all just a lot of swelling.  I have a compression bandage wrapped around my neck and it is a bit uncomfortable but has to stay on there until Monday afternoon.  I have some high powered pain killers but so far only needed Tylenol and that has been mostly for a headache.  I do not like narcotic pain killers at all, don't like the way they make me feel and also I watched them mentally destroy the last few months of my father's life while offering little relief to his pain, something I will never forget.

Usually have to mow until November here but growth rate slows way down as the days get shorter.  Also it is so hot and dry it has slowed down now, mowed last Saturday and it has hardly grown since.   Dr said I can do whatever I want to shortly after stitches are out.

Does not sound like that much difference but 93 vs 88 is exponentially different in the way it feels.  It is not bad here as long as it stays under 90 but we don't have anything near the humidity that you have.

Obama, the Pope, and the President of China Are Teaming Up to Save the World

The trio isn't publicly scheduled to meet each other in America this week—though they will almost bump into one another. But the confluence of these heavy hitters is pumping optimism through green groups that a climate accord may finally be forged at the UN meeting in Paris at the end of the year.

Today is National Pancake Day!

I hope the warden will fix me some pancakes for breakfast, sounds really good.
How is the pain this morning? Hopefully your wife will let you relax and watch some crappy football games today.

Oh, I loved the hell out of them when I broke my leg. But that's the problem with them. And withdrawal sucks.

Glad to hear you're recovering rapidly.

3 Commies In A Pod at work.  Golf should be elated, His Utopian World is in the works.

By the way that clip is from a far left news source.
So Fox isn't rebroadcasting it then?
Not like Fox News is not well represented by the far left:

Alan Colmes, Kirsten Powers, Geraldo the Dick with Ears, Juan Williams, Bill O'Reilly, Evan Baye, Lanny Davis and about 15 more.

O'Reilly is left?  I assumed you meant Huffington Post when you said far left news source.

Good morning Chip, TXDave, and NJDave.
Morning Tony.

O'Reilly is at best a moderate left in real life.

Actually left of Huffington being Mother Jones which is operated by the Foundation for National Progress.  Michael Moore used to write for them.
Glad you're feeling ok, Tex.  I hope you're taking a couple of days off next week.

In 1964, the situation comedy "Gilligan's Island" premiered on CBS-TV.
It's funny how certain days stick out in your memory such as when J.F.K was shot, and seeing Lee Harvey Oswald shot live on tv. But for me, Gilligan's Island premiere was another one.  Ever since T.V. Guide showed the fall round ups, I couldn't wait to see this show. Before the show came on, my mom announced we were going to go and visit my sister.  Even thou I loved going to my sister's house, I was disappointed.  Later as everyone was talking in the living room, my sister had her tv on, and Gilligan was playing in the background.  Funny, but as if gazing into a crystal ball, I can still see that day 51 years ago.

Funny, I would have thought Redskins would have been the offending word..?  A few weeks back we had the same thing with a high school football team.  They wanted the word, "midget," removed from the teams name, "Freeburg Midgets."  What I don't understand is, "do we have that many midgets in Freeburg that it would cause a problem..?"  And, midget is the correct term for some one that is small and proportional.  Maybe it those damn dwarfs again...?

CHIT antibiotic pill bottle says do not consume alcohol and the warden saw it.   Dammit, maybe I do need to take some of these pain pills.

It's better to bite the bullet and don't drink.  It's not the greatest idea, and I'm not even sure if they still make it, but I used to drink Miller's Sharps non-alcoholic beer for such occasions.  It will sort of quench or spoil your taste for beer.  Then you won't want anything to drink.

Years and years ago when we had an hour for lunch, I'd walk to Famous & Bars pet department (7th floor.)  There was this cute little blonde that worked their, and she had the smallest breast I've ever seen.  She would wear a blouse that was just barely sheer enough to almost see thou it.  I never was one for small breast, but she really knew how to take advantage of what little she had.  I really had to be careful watching her, otherwise I'd get too close to the monkey cage and that shit would pick pocket me... Errrrr..!
