After a day of public pressure from angry fans and concerned sponsors, the Minnesota Vikings reversed course and placed star running back Adrian Peterson on the exempt-commissioner's permission list while he addressed a felony charge of child abuse in Texas. (The Vikings had initially decided that Peterson could play with the team while the legal process played out; Peterson later pleaded no contest to misdemeanor reckless assault for physically disciplining his 4-year-old son with a wooden switch.)

The Sparrow
-------------------------

Once upon a time there was a non-conforming sparrow who decided not to fly south for the winter. However, soon the weather turned so cold that he reluctantly decided to fly south. In a short time ice began to form on his wings and he fell to Earth in a barnyard, nearly frozen solid. A cow passed by where he had fallen, and crapped on the little sparrow. The sparrow thought it was the end, but the manure warmed him and defrosted his wings!

Warm and happy, able to breath, he started to sing.

Just then a large cat came by, and hearing the chirping he investigated the sounds. The cat cleared away the manure, found the chirping bird, and promptly ate him.

The Moral of the Story:
Everyone who craps on you is not necessarily your enemy
Everyone who gets you out of crap is not necessarily your friend.
And if you're warm and happy in a pile of crap, you might just want to keep your mouth shut.

Hey, I ain't no used car salesman....I only suggest Atlantic when their prices are competitive.
With that said, excellent prices on the boxes, standard on 5ers and singles.  (VIP prices on 5ers about $22 less than the list prices shown)  Regular price about the same as on Famous.  Famous does have more vitolas available.

Wonder how they will try to spin this?  The school district is saying they will look into the matter and act accordingly.  How far do you have to look???

But if Adam Jones can try to get away with it...

Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam Jones said Wednesday he was fined $35,000 by the NFL for slamming Raiders receiver Amari Cooper's head into his helmet during the teams' Week 1 matchup Sunday in Oakland, California.

Jones, who previously told ESPN that he didn't expect a punishment, said he will appeal the fine, given for hitting a defenseless player.

That's a great idea. Putting Green could be a smaller stick, like 4x38, just to get you going. Then the 19th Hole could be a blend infused with rum or bourbon or something. I think you've got a winner here. Someone call Barry.

I thought about .3 you were prone to die.  She blew .29 and was .339 on a blood test .  She could not stand up but only had a broken arm

You are correct.  While it can happen at a lower BAC, .3 and higher is generally recognized as providing a real potential for organ failure and death.

Why are gas prices here in Texas about the same as in NJ? ???  I thought you guys give it away for free here... :o
It is the Austin Area not Texas, paid under $2 all, over east Texas and friend said it could be readily found in San Antonio for $1.89 and sometimes less.
Tax amount makes up the big difference.

Good evening, friends.  Ran into Flip on the way home and chatted for a couple of minutes.  Before that I smoked one of my 5V 2015 Limitadas.  Nothing great (wouldn't go out of my way to seek one out) but not a bad smoke either.
Evening Mayor
How are you Travellin TXDave?
I think we are both ok.  I am tired and aching from riding 400-500 miles a day for 3 days but otherwise fine.

Where did you dine?
Went to Zed's (right across 35 from the hotel (Parmer Lane)
Started out with a nice Mojito then went on to a Blood Red Rye (Bulleit Rye with Blood Orange var. of an Old Fashioned) then food of course.

No, been here a few years at least.  Bit of a ride for you, but worth checking out.  Nice menu and solid drink offerings. Indoor and nice outdoor area (that will be better in another month or two)

Ordered me one of those Walther PPS's I posted today, 2 years ago you could not find those under $500 and lucky to find them for $550-600.  They shoot fabulous and are very compact.

I Use a dealer down on Ben White to ship to.  Just call them and make arrangements and then fill, out paperwork and pick up there when it arrives.  They give you a discount for transfer fee  with CHL, i think it is still $20 and cheapest I know about in town.  No Sales Tax so save  8.25% there.  They will take care of FFL info to the seller.

Speaking of which, I encountered a homeless guy about a block away from the train station who was yelling at folks as they walked past.  His pants were undone and... Let's just say he was a shōwer* and not a grower.

*Not to be confused with shower [shou-er], which he was very much in need of.
