King Arthur
-------------------------

King Arthur was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of a neighboring kingdom. The monarch could have killed him but was moved by Arthur's youth and ideals. So, the monarch offered him his freedom, as long as he could answer a very difficult question. Arthur would have a year to figure out the answer and, if after a year, he still had no answer; he would be put to death.

The question? . . . What do women really want? Such a question would perplex even the most knowledgeable man, and to young Arthur, it seemed an impossible query. But, since it was better than death, he accepted the monarch's proposition to have an answer by year's end.

He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everyone: the princess, the priests, the wise men and even the court jester. He spoke with every one, but no one could give him a satisfactory answer.

Many people advised him to consult the old witch, for only she would have the answer.

But the price would be high; as the witch was famous throughout the kingdom for the exorbitant prices she charged.

The last day of the year arrived and Arthur had no choice but to talk to the witch. She agreed to answer the question, but he would have to agree to her price first.

The old witch wanted to marry Sir Lancelot, the most noble of the Knights of the Round Table and Arthur's closest friend!

Young Arthur was horrified. She was hunchbacked and hideous, had only one tooth, smelled like sewage, made obscene noises, etc. He had never encountered such a repugnant creature in all his life.

He refused to force his friend to marry her and endure such a terrible burden; but Lancelot, learning of the proposal, spoke with Arthur. He said nothing was too big of a sacrifice, compared to Arthur's life and the preservation of the Round Table.

Hence, a wedding was proclaimed and the witch answered Arthur's question thus:

What a woman really wants, she answered . . . is to be in charge of her own life.

Everyone in the kingdom instantly knew that the witch had uttered a great truth and that Arthur's life would be spared.

And so it was, the neighboring monarch granted Arthur his freedom and Lancelot and the witch had a wonderful wedding.

The honeymoon hour approached and Lancelot, steeling himself for a horrific experience, entered the bedroom. But, what a sight awaited him. The most beautiful woman he had ever seen lay before him on the bed. The astounded Lancelot asked what had happened

The beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she appeared as a witch, she would henceforth be her horrible, deformed self only half-the-time and the beautiful maiden the other half.

Which would he prefer? Beautiful during the day . . . or night?

Lancelot pondered the predicament. During the day, a beautiful woman to show off to his friends, but at night, in the privacy of his castle, an old witch? Or, would he prefer having a hideous witch during the day, but by night, a beautiful woman for him to enjoy wondrous intimate moments?

What would YOU do?

What Lancelot chose is below. BUT . . . make YOUR choice before you scroll down below. OKAY?

Noble Lancelot said that he would allow HER to make the choice herself.

Upon hearing this, she announced that she would be beautiful all the time because he had respected her enough to let her be in charge of her own life.

Now . . . what is the moral to this story?

The moral is . . .

I know where this is headed.  Sounds like shouts of "No Homo" would be taken as an invitation.

Air a little heavy again today...don't want you to be homesick.
It will be much nicer tomorrow.
Yeah, might have to sneak in a cigar tomorrow evening.  There's a place 10 min from the hotel which looks promising.

Sounds like a plan.  The one in Doylestown?
A bit more of a ride, but if you get over to New Hope, there are tons of restaurants and bars.  Cigar lounge is Little Taste of Cuba (with another shop in Princeton) across the street from a restaurant called Havana (coincidence).
Bean would fit right in New Hope!
So that is where the truly manly men hang out?

Think of it as Austin East.
Yuppyville where all the "cool" crowd lives. 8)

gym workout complete, I am now beginning to see and feel the results, my stamina has increased considerably. poached eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, oj, coffee and toast going.
And I am beginning to feel my gut busting from laughing so hard.
I can't wait for the Senior Citizen Ball.

And even more rain now, the coastal folks do not need this!

Tropical Storm Bill stalls offshore, bringing possibility of additional rainfall

Tropical Storm Bill remains about 20 miles south-southwest of Port O'Connor. The storm stalled just offshore which has delayed sending the bulk of the heavy rains onshore.

Bill's winds remain at 60mph, and those tropical storm winds extend out 150 miles from the center.

I have to go make some kool-aid. TTFN
I was gonna go purchase a new bag "of stuff" and then decided to open one of the bags sitting in the garage instead.  Had to slam the bag on the floor a few times in order to break it up because it had solidified.  Imagine my surprise when it seems the stuff actually worked.

Apparently, you have to take it out of the garage, and put them on the lawn.....
That's what I'm learning.  The stuff I put down was purchased... Don't remember when.

Good morning Chip, TXDave, NJDave, and Dean.  Back to work for me today.  Finally a day to rest.
+1 and good morning Tony.
I was admiring my grass this morning before I left the house.  That TurfBuilder shit really works.  Whodathunkit?
i've got bags of that and some seed for a few bare spots...
Apparently, you have to take it out of the garage, and put them on the lawn.....
That's what I'm learning.  The stuff I put down was purchased... Don't remember when.
then you have to open the bags.... had some bags of lawn soil(which apparently if different
from potting soil, and garden soil - have had to buy multiple bags of all three!) I had placed them where
a tree had been, but never opened them for months.... it is amazing what will drive a warden up the wall.
Well for God Sakes do not mix it with that fuel oil dirt - KABOOM
Different property.  I don't care about the oil pit property.  Gravel in the front yard is fine by me.
that sure spells curb appeal, if you are trying to sell it.

Sweet shaggin' wagon!
You betch'em Red Ryder!  Oh, and WTF do you a wagon for Dean?  The nut bus roadshow?
I am still in the concrete repair, deck, gazebo, and whatnot business.
Do you do pavers and retaining walls?
yep, not much I don't do.

Well for God Sakes do not mix it with that fuel oil dirt - KABOOM
Different property.  I don't care about the oil pit property.  Gravel in the front yard is fine by me.
that sure spells curb appeal, if you are trying to sell it.
sort of like the crashed plane in "the world according to Garp"....
Put a little water feature and a cactus there and call it landscaping!
LMAO.  Southwestern style.

Sweet shaggin' wagon!

kayak hauler is the primary purpose, material hauler for construction materials secondary.

Is there a rule about the trailer wheels having to be on concrete or "improved" surface... there are here if it can be seen from the road.
no that I know of. remember, this is redneck backwoods territory.
And you remember.... you chose to live there.
