Windows
-------------------------
Last year I replaced several windows in my house and they were the expensive double-pane energy efficient kind. But this week I got a call from the contractor complaining that his work has been completed for a whole year and I had yet to pay for them.
Boy oh boy did we go 'round. Just because I'm blonde doesn't mean that I am automatically stupid. So, I proceeded to tell him just what his fast talking sales guy had told me last year. . that in one year the windows would pay for themselves. There was silence on the other end of the line so I just hung up and I haven't heard back. Guess I must have won that silly argument.

CI's site isn't working well for me but when it isn't saying "Whoops!", I see the 601 Blues only for the last four hours. Are you sure there's a jam going on?
-
That was strange. Now I see the next item up, RyJs. But my timeline didn't match what the DoD site is saying. Anyhoo, I've gotta run and won't be jamming anyway. Have a great day!

Morning LSU, looks like your day off was a rainout. More rain here yesterday that you will probably get today but we are supposed to be done with rain for a week.

No rain Saturday till the evening hours rolled around, just enough to mess the ball games up.

I was watching the ballgames and it was sure enough doing some raining, had .3" here yesterday but they had 3-5" south of here. Forecast says we will be dry for the next 7 days but around here we could be dry for 3-4 months now.

Our big lake is up 35 feet in May and only 15 feet below full but still rising. Should be just about right going into summer because it needs a little room for flood control.

Indeed. I have to travel east again, but such is life. Looks like the weather will be nice out that way as well
-
Heading out for a ride with a couple buddies. Y'all enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
-
that was interesting. no snakes or tongues. a lot of great gospel music and jumping around. bbq ribs after with bakes beans and slaw for $3, and a guy gifted me an RP Edge robusto after. glad I went.
race time coming up but will have to cut it short, I have 2 service committee meetings at 3:30.

What's up, fellas? Trying to figure out if I have enough time to smoke something before my next appointment. Might be able to sneak in a corona. (TWHS)

Howdy, Dave. I didn't really look at the prices but the cigar offerings don't seem too bad.

I have rekindled my enjoyment of Laceros and might be the best of the V's IMHO. But like you I like all the V's and I think I have tried them all.

Gonna be lazy & copy in my posts from next door: Evening gents. Smoked a 5 year old REO robusto with brown cello earlier ... mellow but very rich ... early collaboration with Rocky/Espinosa/Ortega and DPG ... very fine ... outside on picnic grounds with vodka lemonade. Now in A/C at K of C listening to classic country & rock from jukebox smoking a medium but tasty PDR Sungrown torp... really grown to enjoy these in hot weather when you don't want a stronger grass kicker.
-
Very pleasant relaxing smoke. Watching beisbol ... Det/LAA. Really got into watching collegiate rugby tourney this weekend up here with old Rugger BOTL who was able to help understand the game.
-
It's been a nice weekend. Volunteer appreciation dinner last night at Church. Mexican Fiesta theme ... Make your own fajita bar & sides of excellent quality & Mr. Margarita adult slurpee machine that I hit up way too many times (ignoring the beer & wine). Nice company! And buddy today invited me to family picnic where I got to spend time with his fun Irish brothers & family ... great day. But no cigars ... so I had to come up where I can relax & enjoy some tonight. How was your weekend?
-
Sounds like you had a great day, Sly! /// Fred, the only fly in the ointment was that our Nats were swept by the Reds ... of course we know who to blame.^^^ Damn Belicheck! /// Fred gave me my biggest laugh of the day!
-
Sorry guys, had to boost my post count, some way. CB's fault!
-
Lefty David Price of Detroit is pitching a real good game against LAA 2-2 in 8th.
-
PDR Sungrown torp ... solid medium smoke ... good flavor ... Good performance, nice draw, even burn ... just what I was hoping for from it.
Night gents. Heading home. Have a good week.

Three oil changes, one of which turned into a nightmare. Thread damage on the filter mount, thanks to bad threads on the replacement filter. I will never use a Six filter again. Got a Fram on and it's not leaking, but in 3000 miles it will need a visit to my mechanic.
Evening Sly. Cigar coming after dinner.
