I had a hard time with this one. Had to use 2 hints before I figured out what they were going for.

Today's theme doesn't bode well for me, either.

Yesterday's commute home was hell. I thought leaving early, 3:30ish, was going to be better. Wound up taking me 2 1/2 hours.

My issue always seems to be the flame sensor. I clean it once a year with some sand paper to try to avoid it giving me problems.

I suspect it's a bigger issue. There was definitely water on the floor and this is what I see on the side of the boiler.

If only it were so easy.  Unfortunately, I can't give them a raise, their evals have to include my expectations for the coming year, and I'm fighting like crazy to keep two project employees on my team despite there's a hiring freeze on and the funding for their positions expires in July.

And what's sad is that I tried to get them off COVID funding two years ago.  But leadership wouldn't do it, despite these people are highly respected in the agency.  They just wanted to pretend COVID money would last forever or the governor would find us a new revenue source.  Kid you not.  That's what they told me.  There'll be money later, we'll get it done. Blue State thinking.  Now we have a $12B shortfall, and even in this deep blue state voters soundly passed two initiatives that eliminated taxes.  We have a new governor coming in, but he's been put on notice that the voters are in no mood.  And of course our politicians have been rabidly anti-Trump, so do you think we're going to get any pork from the incoming administration? Giggle.

So here we are.

Schmucks.

  • “Those who are old enough today will always be old enough,” said Vitolo. The ban would apply to all tobacco products, meaning handmade and machine-made cigars, cigarettes, pipe tobacco, vapes, chewing tobacco and snus. It would not include marijuana, which is recreationally legal in Massachusetts.

This is so dumb.
This is me not saying anything, because I already ventured close to politics today.  Not continuing.  Wouldn't be prudent.  Not at this juncture.

That really blows, sorry to hear it. We had ours replaced a couple years ago, though, it was nowhere near that price. Ours was about $4k, if memory serves. Might not be a bad idea to call around and get a couple of prices.
