paintings that were on display.
"Well, I have good news and bad news," the owner responded. "The good news
is that a gentleman noticed your work and wondered if it would appreciate
in value after your death. I told him it would and he bought all 10 of
your paintings."
"That's wonderful," the artist exclaimed. "What's the bad news?"
"The gentleman was your doctor."

Me either. But I like 'em with three engines, two of which can be large sheets of nylon sailcloth.

I wish. This taekwondo is a scam. We pay for the classes and then it seems like they have a belt test every other week and that's another $80. They're going for advanced yellow today. I have that in my underpants.

What a great story!
Richard Overton, America's oldest living veteran.
Chances are, the 109 year-old World War II veteran began the day like any other: on the porch, smoking a cigar, sipping a cup of coffee stiffened with whiskey.
“I drink whiskey in my coffee. Sometimes I drink it straight,” Overton told CNN. “I smoke my cigars, blow the smoke out — I don’t swallow it.”
Overton, who was born on May 11, 1906, in Bastrop County, Texas, served three years in the U.S. Army, with stops in Hawaii, Guam, Palau and Iwo Jima.
The centenarian still lives in the house he bought when he returned from World War II, still drives an old Ford truck and a Chevy Monte Carlo and still helps "transport widows to church." He was formally recognized as the oldest-living veteran last year.
A resident of Austin, Texas, Overton will be joined by 100 friends to celebrate his birthday, including the city's mayor Steve Adler. UPI News reports that "he still enjoys driving, smoking cigars and drinking whiskey."

His birthday, May 11th, is the same day as my Dad's who smoked at least 10-12 cigars a day along with a good bit of Old Taylor bourbon and lived to 89 in very good health until his last 3 months. He was a WW II veteran and would be 101 next week.
