Morning, MayorT.

Good morning, LTG. I thought there'd be more golfing today. Perhaps even with Pops.
-
Oops, it's already afternoon. Sheesh. Where did the morning go? Anyhoo, it's a good thing ClemsonDave is busy because he'd be really disappointed that we were still on Page 1.
-
And no help from Raz this weekend either. Hope that's going well.

Nah, he's been having back issues, that's why he hasn't been going with me. He went out twice this year, and both times afterwards, he was in a bad way. Steroids didn't help, unfortunately. Not sure what the issue is.

Plus, I enjoy my couple of days where I get to sleep in. That's why I generally go during the week, when I'd have to be up early anyways. 😉

Makes sense.

I'm at our town's high school football game. We're away today and the neighboring town we're playing in doesn't have lights. Although my son doesn't go to this high school, he chooses to play in their band, which he's allowed to do since his own high school doesn't have a marching band.
-
Unfortunately, I didn't get to see him play because they went on before the game instead of half time. Had I known, I wouldn't have spent the $5 to get in. We're up 20-0 with 4 seconds left in the first half.
-
Max picked up playing the mellophone over the summer at band camp. I was curious to see how it was going to go. He generally plays the sax.

Sounds like an unusual situation, but glad he gets to play in the band somewhere.

I was in the marching band and also played the sax, but I still had to google mellophone. 😆

I think it's a relatively "new" instrument. Had to look it up myself. It seems exclusive to marching bands.

Speaking of Mellophone, saw Rodney Marsalis and his brass band last night. Outstanding. (Winton and Branford's cousin)

I googled him yesterday when you mentioned it. I had never heard of him. I'm familiar with both Wynton and Branford.
