Spent a few hours with Uncle Andy. It was cool that he is lucid and could converse, but he's wasting away. He's been a 6'3" giant of a man for most of my life. Now he's down to 115 pounds, frail, and he looks ten years older than his 82 years.The lucidity thing is key. My mom passed last year after battling Alzheimer's for more than a decade. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
Still has his sense of humor, though.
It's coming for all of us.

Exactly. before my Dad passed, he was encouraging us to drink up, the day before he handed out Christmas cards and gifts. He let us all know how content he was and how he loved us. very satisfying.Spent a few hours with Uncle Andy. It was cool that he is lucid and could converse, but he's wasting away.
