Back into the 70's tomorrow. It's certainly not anything like Buffalo here but it's 23° and snow is supposed to begin in 20 minutes and for the next 5 hours. So kinda like Los Angeles you mean.... :o

Anybody hear from Deano lately?I have not. Always feel like I'm bugging him but it's probably time that I take a pulse.

I feel this cigar was the beginning of the end for Torano. I used to enjoy a number of their lines, particularly the Exodus 1959.
Then they launched this a a price point quite a bit higher than their others. I found it to be a rather unpleasant experience. Apparently others did too.
Morning, boyos. Arsenal on right now, kids leaving in a little while for a sleepover at my parents house. Little bit of snow on the ground this morning, but not enough to cover the roads.Where's the OT in all that?
CI Weekend SpotlightWhich brings me to a long time question of mine, which probably should be pondered over a few pours of brown liquor and multiple cigars...

I made some homemade tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner last night. Came out really good.Settled for Mac and Cheese myself. Stocked up on some good seafood makings for the coming Fridays.

With all these master blenders with such refined taste, shouldn't they be able to tell when a blend is eh before they commit a whole production run to it? If you know it's eh and you want to get rid of the tobacco, let CI sell it for $4 or whatever.
The Mrs bought some frozen scallops and it looks like that's what we're eating next Friday. The Pope's ok with wrapping them in bacon, right?I made some homemade tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner last night. Came out really good.Settled for Mac and Cheese myself. Today's Over/Under is 11I'm gonna say nine because I gave myself Carrot Top even though I don't know his real name. I didn't give myself the Harry Potter twins because I wouldn't have known them by name alone.
Ah, take the twins, even though you wouldn't know their real names, information on the birthday list got you with the right image.Today's Over/Under is 11I'm gonna say nine because I gave myself Carrot Top even though I don't know his real name. Today's Over/Under is 11Fourteen. And ditto about the Phelps Twins. But it begs a question - would they count as one entry or two people?

Possibly one of the most upbeat and sincere people I've ever known.
Interesting background in that he survived a military plan crash in the Arctic Circle in 1991.
That harrowing ordeal was captured in the book "Death and Deliverance" and the made for TV movie "Ordeal in the Arctic".

I feel like I was bothering him last I texted/spoke but then I thought it's not me or us. I think old age is catching up with him and everyone deals with it differently.Anybody hear from Deano lately?I have not. Always feel like I'm bugging him but it's probably time that I take a pulse.
Charlie Torano sold to STG. Torano did a rebrand and had this whole family recipe book. Even Jack Torano was employed by General. The whole thing was kind of a flop. Jack now works with Espinosa and the rest is kind of history.CI Weekend SpotlightWhich brings me to a long time question of mine, which probably should be pondered over a few pours of brown liquor and multiple cigars...

We watched Ghostbusters this evening. I understand that the effects weren't great in 1984 but the plot is not deserving of a 95 on Rotten Tomatoes.Probably more nostalgia than anything.
Like it better than the original Top Gun but boy did we watch a lot of SHIT back in the day.
Doesn't hold up, in my opinion.
