Good morning, banterers. I would say today's deals don't necessarily smack you upside the head as being typical Tuesday offerings.

They're actually downright decent. Must be a glitch in the matrix.

Morning, Tony.

Won't complain, cause who would care if I did? 44 right now, getting up to 61 later today, but back to highs in the 40s with a chance of snow Friday and Saturday. We just can't seem to shake this chilly weather. But at least it's Masters week, so that helps take some of the sting out.

Things are far worse for the oldest, who has her first appointment to get her braces tightened tomorrow. She's not looking forward to everything being sore all over again for a couple of days.

I am in a meeting but getting ready to commute immediately after it. Not sure what the forecast is for today. Guess I should have a look.

Mine were pretty smooth sailing, actually. And I got them off in a relatively short period of time, is my recollection.

Yeah. We moved 6 billion rows of data to new servers, and really only had three problems. Took most of the day to figure out what the last problem was. But it was just a nuisance, not a stoppage. We'll get that fixed today.

I just don't understand why people would want their entire conversations broadcast to anyone walking by. And I wonder if the people on the other end would want their part of it to be heard by others.

Today is Tuesday, April 5, the 95th day of 2022.
There are 270 days left in the year.

Today’s Highlight in History:

On April 5, 1951, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were sentenced to death following their conviction in New York on charges of conspiring to commit espionage for the Soviet Union.

On this date:

In 1614, Indian Chief Powhatan’s daughter Pocahontas married Englishman John Rolfe, a widower, in the Virginia Colony.

In 1621, the Mayflower sailed from Plymouth Colony in present-day Massachusetts on a monthlong return trip to England.

In 1764, Britain’s Parliament passed The American Revenue Act of 1764, also known as the Sugar Act.

In 1887, in Tuscumbia, Alabama, teacher Anne Sullivan achieved a breakthrough as her 6-year-old deaf-blind pupil, Helen Keller, learned the meaning of the word “water” as spelled out in the Manual Alphabet.

In 1976, reclusive billionaire Howard Hughes died in Houston at age 70.

Ten years ago: President Barack Obama signed bipartisan jobs legislation intended to help small businesses and make it easier for startups to raise capital. Barney McKenna, 72, the last original member of the Irish folk band The Dubliners, died in Dublin.

Five years ago: President Donald Trump declared that a deadly chemical attack in Syria the day before had crossed “many, many lines” and abruptly changed his views of Syrian President Bashar Assad, but he refused to say what the U.S. might do in response. A senior U.S. defense official said a North Korean missile test ended in failure when the rocket spun out of control and plunged into the ocean in a fiery crash. YouTube TV, Google’s new streaming package of about 40 television channels, made its debut.

One year ago: The Minneapolis police chief testified that former officer Derek Chauvin had violated departmental policy in pressing his knee against George Floyd’s neck and keeping Floyd down after he had stopped breathing; the testimony came on the sixth day of Chauvin’s murder trial. (Chauvin would be convicted of murder and manslaughter.) Baylor defeated Gonzaga 86-70 in the championship game of the NCAA basketball tournament in Indianapolis, ending Gonzaga’s hopes for an undefeated season.

Good morning, banterers. I would say today's deals don't necessarily smack you upside the head as being typical Tuesday offerings.
They're actually downright decent. Must be a glitch in the matrix.

Morning, Tony.
Howdy, LTG. How are things by you?
Won't complain, cause who would care if I did? 44 right now, getting up to 61 later today, but back to highs in the 40s with a chance of snow Friday and Saturday. We just can't seem to shake this chilly weather. But at least it's Masters week, so that helps take some of the sting out.
I am in a meeting but getting ready to commute immediately after it. Not sure what the forecast is for today. Guess I should have a look.
too bad you can't have the meeting on the way to work.
Others do and it annoys me. I would never take a call like that from the bus. Texting and bantering are quieter and more appropriate to do in front of others. No one wants to hear my business.
Every time I walk by someone in a store talking on their cell using the speaker, I want to snatch it out of their hand and chuck it as far as I can.
You have anger issues. But I completely relate to that. I see folks on the street video calling on speaker and I'm like, WTF? I would be annoyed even if I were an active participant on that call.

Guarantee there are no bagels and danishes either.
Correct assumption.
