They tell me I'm their favorite customer who doesn't have a record contract.I started putting this guitar together in 2007, then screwed up the neck and shelved it. It's designed to roughly mimic the sound of a certain 1964 Stratocaster owned by an acquaintance of mine. When it was last assembled, the verdict among my friends who played both was that it managed to get at least 85% of the way there. These pickups are an upgrade, custom-designed to try and get it within 90-95%. We'll see.I started putting this guitar together in 2007, then screwed up the neck and shelved it. The aesthetics are closer to a 1959 Stratocaster. But there are some minor "modern" improvements intended to make the intonation more accurate and more stable, and to make the guitar more durable and require less maintenance. We'll know in a couple of weeks whether I succeeded.
