Post by: CigarBanter on December 16, 2014, 12:00:23 AM
Fuck, it's Tuesday again?  In between insults we'll occasionally discuss cigars.  Join in and perhaps learn something along the way.  Be warned, post on this site and you will catch hell from members and trolls alike.  Therefore, don't proceed if you have thin skin.  If you can accept all that, light a cigar, pour a beverage and welcome aboard!

For physical therapy tonight, I had to walk fifty steps without crutches.  Takes about 25 to get to my smoking room, fire up the fan, pour myself some whiskey, select an EPC Short Run '13, light up, and sit down.  Will take the other half to reverse the process when my cigar is done.  Perfect.
Sounds like a plan.  Hope you enjoy it.  I'm gonna head to bed.

Chilly, got in later last night due to flight cancellations and late flights... not that I would be going out on the town anyway.

Yeah, had to look twice at that one.  Still considerin'.
Got a 5er of robustos of those coming today from the bid site. Love that smoke.
Thought of you when I saw them at the flip, didn't figure you'd miss them, but looks like you got a better offer.  Haven't said this much, but not a bad price for a good smoke.
Indeed. Got the 5er for $10, just an add-on since I had other stuff coming. Oh, and they're coronas, not robustos.

I'm not sure I get it.  I thought you paid a penalty for disconnecting your old contract prematurely?  They didn't know about the arrears before they let you start a new contract?  It's more of a rhetorical question but I asked since the banter is so slow.

the agreement arranged in NY and Verizon was that I would pay no penalty, the family would set up their own Family Plan and pay an added amount to their bill to absorb the arrears, I would do a single plan and pay $60 a month, period.

And cb's camera practically up the one model's ass.

Hair of the Dog Toro's 10/$30 at the Sister not a bad deal
Yeah, had to look twice at that one.  Still considerin'.
Got a 5er of robustos of those coming today from the bid site. Love that smoke.
Thought of you when I saw them at the flip, didn't figure you'd miss them, but looks like you got a better offer.  Haven't said this much, but not a bad price for a good smoke.
I've only had a couple from CF but enjoyed them. I've actually liked most Diesels I've smoked come to think of it just don't smoke many anymore
Same here. Don't remember ever having a bad Diesel.
I'll have to put a vote in for the Unholy Cocktail.
Morning BD.  I would not say the UC is "bad", but would agree with "not very good".
I smoke them for their medisial effect.. Along with 3 fingers of Fighting Cock 103 proof Whiskey.. :)

on a lesser note. I believe my phone has been shut off. looks like 'the family' stuck me with almost a $1,000 phone bill, started their own Family Plan, and stuck me with their arrears. Merry Fucking Christmas Dean, I love NY.
HdM toro and more coffee.
Ouch....  I actually cringed while reading that...!
I was cringing as I typed it.
:)
I'm not sure I get it.  I thought you paid a penalty for disconnecting your old contract prematurely?  They didn't know about the arrears before they let you start a new contract?  It's more of a rhetorical question but I asked since the banter is so slow.
They didn't break the contract, they started a new plan.  Old contract was in Florida Dean's name so they just gave it to him again up the butt and moved on.

LOL, isn't Cigar Journal the one that sometimes comes free with CI orders?  I'm sure M&D are behind it.  That said, I did enjoy the New World.  Not even close to my favorite cigar of the year but it didn't suck.  Very good for the price kind of cigar.  When Dave gave one to me I'd guessed it had a higher price tag.

How many AJ blends! ;)
#1, just like JWacky said it would be!!     ;)

For You Joe, they will let you pay more, so you can feel better about it... Only one gurkha on the list the 125 year anniversary, at #11.

;D You beat me by 27 seconds.  I'm not impressed with their sham any longer.  I wonder who paid the most for the #1 position?  I guess we'll find out in a couple of days.
I saw the whole list yesterday, it came out from some german website....

Not one EPC on that Journal list.  Lets see what CA has to say about them.
With all the praising you guys do for EPC, you might have to start your own fan club...

I'm amazed how how far under the radar he seems to stay.  I can't think of one that I haven't genuinely enjoyed.  Maybe the E-Stunner.  And even that wasn't bad, just outside of the normal profile I'm used to with that line.  And he keeps costs in check, which is nice.

Hey, just giving AJ some credit for somehow stumbling in to a decent, affordable blend.  Figured it'd cost twice as much because it was actually good.

I personally have never given a shit about what other people enjoy.  Big RG, tiny, Strong cigars, mild.  Whatever.  There's something for everyone.  Don't even care about the large rg 'fad'.  It gets more people buying cigars, which is good for everyone.  Not like they've stopped making smaller cigars.  So there.

How many AJ blends! ;)
#1, just like JWacky said it would be!!     ;)

That's what I like - great cigars with great prices
And EPC ain't one of them.

Hey, to each their own.  You're wrong but whatever.  ;)
And I guess u think u are right?  Happy GFY Tuesday. :)  Alright we have a full crew out of here - Maybe!

LOL... well, my opinion is the only one I tend to agree with...
Well, Too bad nobody else gives a fuck about your opinion.

;D You beat me by 27 seconds.  I'm not impressed with their sham any longer.  I wonder who paid the most for the #1 position?  I guess we'll find out in a couple of days.
I saw the whole list yesterday, it came out from some german website....
WELL??  Inquiring minds want to know!

For You Joe, they will let you pay more, so you can feel better about it... Only one gurkha on the list the 125 year anniversary, at #11.

Hey, just giving AJ some credit for somehow stumbling in to a decent, affordable blend.  Figured it'd cost twice as much because it was actually good.
I am sure AJ derives great satisfaction from your expert credit.

Holiday party went as expected.  Unfortunately, my next direct train isn't for another hour so I'm gonna experiment with a different way home.  Luckily I didn't drink too many Canadian Clubs.

You can always blame it on Mike if she doesn't appreciate it.
