Most is a big word, and then there are all the non-smart watches worn by smart people that can function quite well without them.

Just counted and there are 5 clocks and 3 watches in this house to be set manually.

Morning Mayor, did your stove clock and microwave clocks set themselves back or did you never get around to moving  them forward in March?

I forgot the old man factor. You're right then. Only the clock on my oven needs to be reset. I haven't worn a watch in about a decade. Love to wear one but the 10 that I own all need new batteries. I'll get around to replacing them eventually.

You forgot reality, the owners of this house are 29 and 33 which I believe is younger than you.

Maybe, just maybe it might help you be on time if you had a watch that worked and wore it :o

Does the clock in your new car change itself, some of these new cars are pretty damn smart.

Based on Tony Math (most of them do it automatically) you must have at least 11 clocks and 4 watches in your house.

Today is Sunday, Nov. 5, the 309th day of 2017. There are 56 days left in the year.

Today's Highlight in History:

On Nov. 5, 1942, American showman and songwriter George M. Cohan died in New York at age 64.

On this date:

In 1605, the "Gunpowder Plot" failed as Guy Fawkes was seized before he could blow up the English Parliament.

In 1872, suffragist Susan B. Anthony defied the law by attempting to cast a vote for President Ulysses S. Grant. (Anthony was convicted by a judge and fined $100, but she never paid the penalty.)

In 1912, Democrat Woodrow Wilson was elected president, defeating Progressive Party candidate Theodore Roosevelt, incumbent Republican William Howard Taft and Socialist Eugene V. Debs.

In 1916, a dockside confrontation in Everett, Washington, between members of the Industrial Workers of the World and citizen-deputies erupted into gunfire that left at least five "Wobblies" and two deputies dead.

In 1935, Parker Brothers began marketing the board game "Monopoly."

In 1940, President Franklin D. Roosevelt won an unprecedented third term in office as he defeated Republican challenger Wendell L. Willkie.

In 1956, Britain and France started landing forces in Egypt during fighting between Egyptian and Israeli forces around the Suez Canal. (A cease-fire was declared two days later.)

In 1968, Republican Richard M. Nixon won the presidency, defeating Democratic Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey and American Independent candidate George C. Wallace.

In 1974, Democrat Ella T. Grasso was elected governor of Connecticut, becoming the first woman to win a gubernatorial office without succeeding her husband.

In 1985, Spencer W. Kimball, president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died at age 90; he was succeeded by Ezra Taft Benson.

In 1994, former President Ronald Reagan disclosed he had Alzheimer's disease.

In 2009, a shooting rampage at the Fort Hood Army post in Texas left 13 people dead; Maj. Nidal Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, was later convicted of murder and sentenced to death.

Ten years ago: Hollywood writers began a three-month strike, forcing late-night talk shows to immediately start airing reruns. Police in major Pakistani cities fired tear gas and clubbed lawyers protesting President Gen. Pervez Musharraf's emergency rule. Joe Torre was introduced as the new manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers, less than three weeks after walking away from the New York Yankees.

Five years ago: On the eve of the presidential election, President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney held rallies seven miles apart in Columbus, Ohio. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled a South Carolina sheriff's office could be held liable for attorneys' fees for stopping abortion protesters who wanted to hold up signs showing aborted fetuses.

One year ago: Republican Donald Trump vowed to press into Democratic strongholds over the campaign's final days as Hillary Clinton looked to an army of A-list celebrities and politicos to defend her narrowing path to the presidency. Arrogate overhauled pacesetter California Chrome in the final 100 yards in an upset half-length victory in the $6 million Breeders' Cup Classic.

Risking sounding like Dean this morning but I got to go get my trailer then come back here and load up the golf cart and a couple if tables and stuff.  Then I got to take all that to the Market Commons District to set up for the Puppy Palooza which the boy is a sponsor of starting at noon.  Warden and a girl that works for the boy will be manning the booth handing out t-shirts and a giveaway drawing.  Boy will be back to do the takedown and bringing all that stuff back here,

Morning Gents, Happy Time Change!

Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour today, November 5th, 2017.
Most of the clocks these days set themselves.

Good morning, Dave.
Most is a big word, and then there are all the non-smart watches worn by smart people that can function quite well without them.

Just counted and there are 5 clocks and 3 watches in this house to be set manually.

Nothing young about me. I'm wearing underwear that's 30 years old.
I have a 30 year old that doesn't wear underwear.
Liar!  Since when do you even consider anyone under 60?
in Florida 30 is the new 70.
Don't you mean 70 is the new 30??   ???
I guess SHE didn't know that. LOL.
I heard of hard miles, but a thirty year old passing for 70? .....YIKES!
Having seen many of those FL Girls that lived their lives in the beach sun I can understand that happening.

Looney-Tunes  Senator Rand Paul beat up by his neighbor while mowing the grass yesterday.  Who was he trying to fool by mowing his own grass, probably mows the front himself but has a crew do the back.

Boy will be back to do the takedown and bringing all that stuff back here,
Time to get to work, later

I ought to do breakfast dishes, water my plants, put down bug granules, and spray some weed killer before my 2 business meetings.

28 dead including the shooter according to the Sheriff.   That place is slap in the middle of nowhere

About the last sort of place you would expect anything like that.

The deaths are estimated at 7-8% of the total population.  Everyone there has been touched.

That's pretty fucked up. Have only read about it and haven't seen it on the news yet.
