Not bad, but not great.  Good cigar, but way overpriced to begin with.

Sort of what I thought but the Room 101 stuff is totally confusing these days after the going out of business dumps then 6-8 months later they seem to still have plenty at the old prices.......

Didn't usually see these two at the origninal dump sales, likewise Namakubi which I don't remember being in any of the deals.

I bought some Nanakubi's pretty cheap at the dump (but not enough of them) but not at stupid deals like the MC's.

Today is Saturday, Aug. 12, the 224th day of 2017. There are 141 days left in the year.

Today's Highlight in History:

On August 12, 1867, President Andrew Johnson sparked a move to impeach him as he defied Congress by suspending Secretary of War Edwin M. Stanton, with whom he had clashed over Reconstruction policies. (Johnson was acquitted by the Senate.)

On this date:

In 1898, fighting in the Spanish-American War came to an end.

In 1915, the novel "Of Human Bondage," by William Somerset Maugham, was first published in the United States, a day before it was released in England.

In 1937, President Franklin D. Roosevelt nominated Hugo Black to the U.S. Supreme Court.

In 1944, during World War II, Joseph P. Kennedy Jr., eldest son of Joseph and Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy, was killed with his co-pilot when their explosives-laden Navy plane blew up over England.

In 1953, the Soviet Union conducted a secret test of its first hydrogen bomb.

In 1960, the first balloon communications satellite - the Echo 1 - was launched by the United States from Cape Canaveral.

In 1962, one day after launching Andrian Nikolayev into orbit, the Soviet Union also sent up cosmonaut Pavel Popovich; both men landed safely Aug. 15.

In 1977, the space shuttle Enterprise passed its first solo flight test by taking off atop a Boeing 747, separating, then touching down in California's Mojave (moh-HAH'-vee) Desert.

In 1981, IBM introduced its first personal computer, the model 5150, at a press conference in New York.

In 1985, the world's worst single-aircraft disaster occurred as a crippled Japan Airlines Boeing 747 on a domestic flight crashed into a mountain, killing 520 people. (Four people survived.)

In 1992, after 14 months of negotiations, the United States, Mexico and Canada announced in Washington that they had concluded the North American Free Trade Agreement. Avant-garde composer John Cage died in New York at age 79.

In 1994, Woodstock '94 opened in Saugerties, New York.

Ten years ago: A gunman opened fire in the sanctuary of a southwest Missouri church, killing a pastor and two worshippers. (A suspect later pleaded guilty to three counts of murder and four counts of assault, and received three life sentences without parole, plus four 30-year sentences for the assaults.) Tiger Woods captured the PGA Championship to win at least one major for the third straight season and run his career total to 13. Crooner, talk show host and game show producer Merv Griffin died in Los Angeles at age 82.

Five years ago: With a little British pomp and a lot of British pop, London brought the curtain down on the Olympic Games with a spectacular pageant. Before the closing ceremony, the U.S. men's basketball team defended its title by fighting off another huge challenge from Spain, pulling away in the final minutes for a 107-100 victory and its second straight Olympic championship. The victory by the men's basketball team gave the United States its 46th gold medal in London; the U.S. initially won 104 medals overall, but was later stripped of a silver medal after a men's relay team member tested positive for steroids. Rory McIlroy won the PGA Championship with a 6-under 66 for an eight-shot victory at Kiawah Island, South Carolina.

One year ago: The Pentagon said that Hafiz Saeed Khan, a top Islamic State group leader in Afghanistan, had been killed in a U.S. drone strike the previous month. A judge in Milwaukee overturned the conviction of Brendan Dassey, who was found guilty of helping his uncle kill a woman in a case profiled in the Netflix series "Making a Murderer," ruling that investigators coerced a confession using deceptive tactics. Katie Ledecky won her fourth gold medal of the Rio Olympics, shattering her own mark in the 800-meter freestyle; fellow American Anthony Ervin won the men's 50-meter freestyle.

Not really.  He did close out the relationship with Camacho/Davidoff when he didn't renew their contract on Jan 1.  They probably own the rights to the name Room 101.
He has started a new venture with Robert Caldwell with help from AJF.  There is supposedly a second cigar, called Truth being released in the fall.

Fuk'n  Idiots!   SHEESH!

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A plan to put a homeless shelter in another Austin neighborhood is in the works.

On Thursday, City Council members ordered city staff to find a city-owned building to turn into a temporary emergency shelter as soon as possible. It’s part of a bigger effort to reduce the size of the homeless population in downtown Austin.

The Austin Resource Center for the Homeless, also known as the ARCH, is overflowing. The sidewalks along the building look about as busy as you’d imagine it is inside.

Stupid bitch actually believes the drug dealers and associated crimes will not follow the customers:

"She (Mayor Pro Tem Hathy Tovo)says downtown’s homeless deserve shelter and need to be removed from an environment conducive to crime. She fears drug dealers keep making their way downtown to prey on the homeless. Tovo wants those drug peddlers out, and thinks re-purposing a city-owned building into an overflow emergency shelter away from downtown for about six months can be a good fix."

It's a Mazda CX-3 AWD Touring in a light gray color (almost looks white) with sun roof and leather seats, which make it conducive to cigar smoking.

Morning Mr. Mayor, now go get that car.
Picking it up at 4:30 today. The dealer warned me on Thursday evening that the place is a zoo on Saturdays. Hopefully it won't be so bad with the appointment.
For sure.  That's why I try for an early morning appointment.  What are the details on the vehicle?
It's a Mazda CX-3 AWD Touring in a light gray color (almost looks white) with sun roof and leather seats, which make it conducive to cigar smoking.

Sounds like some crappy service at the very start, wtf does he mean beware it is a zoo, sounds like he has no time for you.   Tell the bastard to deliver it to you.
He was just warning that the mornings were crazy and it was best to make an appointment for later in the afternoon. To be honest, it has been my best car buying experience to date. Total time, including test drive, negotiation, paperwork, over the course of 3 visits was 1.5 hours. I've spent 5 times that trading in an old lease for a new one at the Honda dealership when I knew exactly what I wanted and what I would pay for it.

last year I went with the lady to look at KIAs. within 3 hours she was driving a brand new car. only arguement was over color, red vs grey. I talked her into grey, she had a lot of incidents with her previous red car.

Afternoon gents.  Pool maintenance done, had to replace the pump timer.  Lasted 12 yrs, so can't complain.  Already replaced the main circulation pump last year, so I guess we'll see what's next, the heater or the cascade pump.

And don't follow Booth's example off retirement....he's already back.
And even though it isn't called Room 101....sure looks a lot like it.... ::)
BTW, if you do see this, give it a try.  Very good!
I'll be damn, have not seen those, another "going out of business" marketing scam I guess.
I have not bought any for a while other than a couple of boxes of Cheapo Uncle Lee's, Do you think the Room 101's we are seeing now are actually the same blends as those we were buying?
As much as any multi year cigar offering is.  I haven't tasted any change in the cigars I've picked up. Chief Cool Arrow and Payback were just introduced in 2016.
Not a bad deal on the Chief Cool Arrow at the sis today, if memory serves.
