Morning Daves, Fishy, and RaincoatTony. Mid-90's today with humidity coming back.
I should have worn my rubbers.
Always a good precaution.

The 100 Best Burgers in America, Ranked by Our National Burger Critic

https://www.thrillist.com/eat/nation/best-burgers-in-america-burger-quest
Now I'm hungry. Also, I can't believe there are 2 Cleveland joints on that list, and B-Spot by Michael Symon isn't one of them.
Everyone's concept of a "best burger" is very different so really it is just one person's idea of a best burger being represented.  I know of far better in this area than the 2 in Austin.   Like with me, if it is on some fancy-smancy "homemade bun" I am not going to rate it a best, I like a regular seeded hamburger bun.  Also, if it has American  rather than one of several other better choices then boom it ain't a top burger IMHO.

Never heard of the two listed in Austin. One's a French restaurant?  Disqualified!

Agreed. Seems like a lot of his choices are of the overly messy variety.

Think I will go have one of Austin's better burgers for lunch - Hut's Hamburgers

Best burger in Austin is at a  place I quit going to on 6th Street (Casino El Caminio) because it is so damn filthy nasty dirty.  Best burger in the area IMHO is down near New Braunfels at Freiheit Country Store, they also have some of the best hand cut fries around.

For those of you keeping score at home, my PC is still effed up. I've stumped the support team. But in the meantime, you can enjoy the view from my window with me.
