It's Friday! Any deals on the various internet sites that are worth talking about? Join in this discussion and perhaps learn something along the way. Warning: don't proceed if you have thin skin but don't be afraid to post either... And welcome aboard.

Morning, boyos. Happy Quitter's Day!

According to Google:

"Quitter's Day" refers to the second Friday of January, which is considered the day when most people tend to give up on their New Year's resolutions, making it a somewhat informal "holiday" signifying the point where many abandon their goals set at the start of the year; essentially, the day most people "quit" on their resolutions.

It's pretty freezing here too. I thought it was supposed to have warmed up by now.

Actually, I made no resolutions so there's nothing to quit.

There was recently a commercial on television where they referred to Quitter's Day. Not very effective marketing because I can't recall what the product was.

Late start for me on the banter. So much going on today between work and home. Plus, my wife's cousin is flying in from Miami with her two daughters and staying with us for a few days. Not sure why she would pick this time of year, but whatever.

I'm not even sure if we've been above freezing yet this year. And according to the long range forecast, we're still more than a week away from a break. And even that is only a high of 33. Woof.

Is she one of those, "I've never seen snow" types? Because otherwise, I can't imagine a solid reason for coming north this time of year.

I think she's one of those, "the airfare was cheap because no one else wants to come there" types.
