First day back to work for me. I imagine it will be slow, but those tend to be famous last words.

I didn't intend to do it so soon, but all the Christmas decorations are already down and put away. The outside lights had been blown down by the heavy winds and the inside tree had nary a needle still on it. If I hadn't cut the tree down myself, I would have guessed it had been leftover from last year.

I was planning to be in the office today but have a wake to attend this afternoon and decided to work remotely instead. It was an elderly friend of the family that passed.
